  • Patent number: 9113721
Abstract: The present invention is directed toward a restraint system for an infant support such as a highchair. The restraint system includes a restraining member adapted to pass through an aperture formed into the infant support. The restraining member includes a stop member selectively operable to pass through the aperture. Specifically, the stop member is configured to pass through the aperture when in a first orientation relative to the slot, but cannot pass through aperture when positioned in a second (e.g., opposite) orientation relative to the slot. With this configuration, the unintended separation of the restraint system from the infant support may be prevented. Additionally, with this configuration, the accidental tightening of the shoulder straps on a restrained child by a sibling pulling on the straps from behind the seat is also prevented.

  • Patent number: 6508322
Abstract: A battery retaining system for a children's ride-on vehicle. The system includes a retaining member that is selectively movable between a first or nominal position in which the retaining member blocks removal of a battery assembly from the body of the vehicle, and a second position in which the retaining member does not block removal of the battery assembly. The battery retaining system also includes a biasing member coupled to the retaining member and configured to urge the retaining member from the second position toward the first position. In some embodiments, the battery retaining system is further adapted to retain portions of the vehicle other than the battery assembly.

  • Patent number: 6186256
Abstract: A battery retaining system for securing a battery in a children's ride-on vehicle. A battery compartment is disposed on the vehicle and configured to receive the battery. A battery compartment lid attaches to the battery compartment. A battery retaining clip is coupled to the battery compartment and is movable between a locked position in which the clip holds the battery in place, and an unlocked position. Optionally, the retaining clip is configured to block installation of the battery compartment lid unless the clip is in the locked position.
