    Abstract: A hanger for being secured on a cutting tool (11) and for suspending the cutting tool (11) from a suspension device, includes a base body (22), a first holding device for the cutting tool (11) provided at one end region of the base body (22) opposite a suspension opening (29) provided in an opposite end region of the base body (22) and spaced from the first holding device, a securing device (61) for securing a holding element (42) on the first holding device (41) on the base body (22), and a second holding device (23) provided on the base body (22) for engaging, at least in some regions, around the free rim (14) of the support member (12) of the cutting tool (11), the second holding device projecting from a plane of the base body (22) and having a slot-shaped receptacle (24) for receiving the free rim (14) of the support member (12) of the cutting tool (11).
