  • Patent number: 11982168
Abstract: A method of oil production after water flooding includes the steps of: forming at least one injection well and at least one production well in a reservoir; pumping enriched air (at least 30-100 mole-% oxygen with fogged water droplets) into the injection well, so as to maximize gravity segregation of gas/steam and gravity drainage of oil from an attic and/or pinch-out volume of the reservoir; and recycling produced carbon dioxide by injection into a man-made gas cap created around the at least one injection well. The enriched air preferably includes a mixture of 30-100 mole-% oxygen, 0-4 mole-% argon, 0-67 mole-% nitrogen and 0-70 mole-carbon dioxide gas.

  • Patent number: 11932292
Abstract: A system is provided that may include a first communication controller that may communicate with a vehicle system formed from two or more vehicles. The first communication controller may operate in different modes, including a first mode to control movement of the vehicle system without repeating any control signals communicated between the vehicles, and in a second mode to monitor different frequencies for receipt of the control signals, receive and repeat a first control signal of the control signals at a first frequency, and receive and repeats a second control signal of the control signals at a second frequency. The first communication controller may also operate in a third mode in which the first communication controller may monitor the first frequency but not the second frequency for the first control signal, receives the first control signal at the first frequency, and repeats the first control signal at the first frequency.

  • Patent number: 11818631
Abstract: A communication device and method may include at least one tuner circuit that monitors at least a first frequency channel and a second frequency channel. A controller of the radio receiver may measure a first received signal strength indicator (RSSI) value over time for the first frequency channel and a second RSSI value over time for the second frequency channel. The first and second RSSI values are based on a signal strength of radio frequency (RF) energy received on the first and second frequency channels, respectively. The controller may detect a leader portion of a message on the first frequency channel responsive to a change in the first RSSI value exceeding a step change threshold. The controller may extract, via a detector circuit, message data from a carrier wave of the RF message.

  • Publication number: 20230328491
Abstract: A communication system may include communication devices configured to be onboard vehicles in a multi-vehicle system. Each of the communication devices may operate in a lead mode, a repeater mode, or a trail mode. The communication devices operating in the lead mode may transmit a command signal to control movement of the multi-vehicle system. The communication devices operating in the repeater mode may re-transmit the command signal received from the one or more communication devices operating in the lead mode. The communication devices operating in the trail mode may receive the command signal received from the one or more communication devices operating in the lead mode or in the repeater mode. Each of the communication devices may be remotely switched between the lead mode or the trail mode to the repeater mode.

  • Publication number: 20210229715
Abstract: A vehicle warning system and method receive an information notification from a first vehicle system at a second vehicle system. The information notification includes traversal information associated with a position of the first vehicle system and/or an identifier associated with the first vehicle system. The information notification also including a warning that indicates of the second vehicle system is moving too close to the first vehicle system and/or the first vehicle system and the second vehicle system are headed toward an intersection. A decision is made as to whether a response should be sent based on the information notification and sending the response based on the information notification to the first vehicle system. The response includes a command to slow down or stop to avoid a collision with the first vehicle system.

  • Patent number: 9676521
Abstract: A breathing assist device storage compartment assembly includes a housing having a rear wall and a perimeter wall attached thereto and extending forward of the rear wall. The perimeter wall includes a top wall, a bottom wall, a first side wall and a second side wall. A front side of the housing is open. A support is attached to the housing and engages the top wall adjacent to front side. The support engages furniture at an edge thereof such that the housing extends downwardly from the edge of the furniture and the furniture closes the front side. The support is hingedly coupled to the housing to allow the housing to pivot with respect to the support and facilitate access into an interior of the housing, wherein a breathing assist device is positioned.

  • Publication number: 20060126652
Abstract: A Point-to-point protocol configured to provide communication exchange between a first device and a second device. The point-to-point protocol is configured to negotiate an exchange rate and establish a connection for the communication exchange between the first and second device. As system dynamics change, the point-to-point protocol is also configured to permit application programs in the first device and the second device to request renegotiation of the exchange rate at any time. The point-to-point protocol is also configured to provide confirmation to a sending application program that information was delivered to a receiving application program.

  • Patent number: 5588610
Abstract: A power string and chalk line tool for obtaining a straight line reference using a line having a wound end and a free end is provided. The tool includes a housing having an upper face and a lower face, a support rod mounted between the upper and lower faces, and a line aperture. A spool having two end plates separated by a hollow axle is sized to fit and rotatably mounted about the support rod inside the housing, such that the wound end of the line can be wound around the spool and the free end of the line can be pulled from the housing via the line aperture. A coil spring affixed to the spool maintains rotational tension on the spool, biasing the spool against unwinding the line from the spool and towards rewinding the line onto the spool. A speed control member is provided that is movably attached to the housing and extends adjacent the spool for applying pressure against the spool to create friction, thereby reducing the speed of or stopping spool rotation.
