  • Publication number: 20040245834
Abstract: A headrest arrangement for a vehicle seat consisting of a back and a bottom seating part. Said arrangement comprises a headrest part that is connected to the back of the seat by fixing means, wherein said fixing means are configured in such a way that the headrest part can be moved between an in-use position arranged above the back of the seat and corresponding to its headrest function and a non-use position wherein the headrest part can be releasably locked in both positions. The headrest part in non-use position and relative to the in-use position is lowered in the direction of the seating part and is arranged horizontally in the area of the front part of the back of the seat. The invention also relates to a vehicle seat fitted with said headrest arrangement.

  • Publication number: 20040206733
Abstract: To drill holes in an electric circuit substrate with the help of a laser beam, the drilling being performed by a circular motion of the laser beam within the area of the intended drill hole, the movement of the laser beam is created via two in-line deflection units. The first deflection unit, which preferably contains galvomirrors, triggers the jump of the laser beam from a drill position to the respective next drill position and the centering within the respective drill position. The second deflection unit, which preferable contains piezoelements, modulates a continuous circular motion onto the laser beam. In doing so the laser is only turned on if the first deflection unit is at a standstill.

  • Publication number: 20040133709
Abstract: A method for controlling a plurality of I/O devices being attached to a microprocessor by a special number and type of interfaces is provided. A generic configurable chip is connected to the I/O space of said microprocessor, said generic chip comprising a switch matrix being adapted to assign said special number and type of interfaces to each specific device when initializing said device.

  • Patent number: 6760839
Abstract: A method and system for operating an input/output circuit for driving peripheral devices controlled by an embedded system. For increasing the overall system availability the invention proposes to add some limited, repeatedly-performed status storing functionality preferably into a register storage of the I/O devices. The stored information can be easily exploited (i.e., read out from external of the input/output devices) via the controller of the embedded system.

  • Patent number: 6423929
Abstract: A workpiece, designed as a printed circuit board for example, can be moved by means of a transport device under a laser unit in such a way that a region to be machined of the workpiece passes into the deflecting region of the laser beam. The workpiece is set between clamping jaws to a vertical position in which the laser beam is focused exactly on that surface of the workpiece which is to be machined. As a result, the machining accuracy can be considerably increased.

  • Patent number: 6412622
Abstract: Workpieces in the shape of plates can be transported from an input station to a workstation and from there to an output station by means of two manipulation device in a working plane. A gripper of one of the manipulation means can be displaced between the input station and the workstation. The gripper of the other manipulation device can be displaced between the workstation and the output station, whereby the displacement ranges overlap. As the first half of the processing time has been approximately completed in the workstation, the workpiece r is transferred from the gripper on the input side to the gripper on the output side. Meanwhile, the respectively free gripper returns to its station and to the workstation, so that the processing can be carried out almost without any interruption.
