  • Publication number: 20240141834
Abstract: A gas turbine engine that defines a radial direction and axial direction. The gas turbine engine includes a compressor section that includes a high pressure compressor. The high pressure compressor includes an aft-most compressor stage. The aft-most compressor stage includes a rotor, a low pressure shaft, a high pressure shaft drivingly coupled to the high pressure compressor. The high pressure shaft includes a central spool member and a forward spool member. The forward spool member extending between the central spool member and the aft-most compressor stage. The aft-most compressor stage further includes an air guide coupled to the aft-most compressor stage and the high pressure shaft. The air guide and a radially inward side of the forward spool member together defines an air flow passage for providing a cooling air flow.

  • Patent number: 11959683
Abstract: A modulating refrigeration system includes an evaporation unit and a condensing unit. The evaporation unit generates a first output airflow comprising a lower temperature, a lower relative humidity, or both than a first supply airflow and directs the first output airflow into a building. The condensing unit generates a second output airflow at a higher temperature than a second supply airflow and discharges the second output airflow to an unconditioned space. The evaporation unit comprises a first valve operable to direct a portion of refrigerant to a secondary evaporator and primary evaporator or to direct the entire flow of refrigerant to the primary evaporator and bypassing the secondary evaporator.

  • Publication number: 20240075002
Abstract: A creatine composition comprising a base component, a dianion component, and a creatine component. In some exemplary embodiment, the base component and dianion component can at least be partially reacted before being added to the creating component. On a dry weight basis, the base component can comprise between about 7-20% of the composition by weight, the dianion component can comprise between about 35-50% of the composition by weight, and the creatine component can comprise between about 30-60% of the composition by weight. In embodiments where the base component and dianion component are first reacted to form a base dianion component, the base dianion component can comprise between about 40-65% of the composition by weight. The creatine component can comprise between about 35-60% of the composition by weight with the remainder of the composition being composed of deionized water (i.e., between about 0-10% of the composition by weight).

  • Patent number: 11316952
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for limiting load on host servers that implement a social messaging platform. An example user device sends, to a platform comprising a plurality of host servers, a first request. The request is directed to a first endpoint. The user device receives, in response to the first request, a first error that indicates that the first request was not processed. The user device determines a back off time and places subsequent requests to the platform that are initiated before the back off time elapses and that are directed to the first endpoint in a back off queue in an order in which the subsequent requests are initiated. The user device sends, to the platform, the requests in the back off queue after the back off time has elapsed, until the back off queue is empty.

  • Publication number: 20210258370
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for providing to user devices identifiers of edge servers from which to obtain content. One example system includes a traffic control service. The traffic control service is configured to receive polling requests from user devices. In response to a particular polling request, the traffic control service obtains aggregated data about the user devices and edge servers. The traffic control service selects, based on the aggregated data, a best edge server for the user device that sent the particular polling request. The traffic control service sends an identifier of the selected best edge server to the user device.

  • Patent number: 10385993
Abstract: A method and apparatus for creating a joint between tubulars such as tubing, pipes, casing and liner for location in a well bore. A connector (16) in the form of a sleeve is located over the ends of each tubular (12, 14) and the ends of the tubulars are morphed onto the sleeve to provide a metal to metal seal. In an embodiment the sleeve (16) is morphed onto the ends of the tubulars (12, 14). The connector may also have a profiled inner surface with circumferential grooves (266) and a sectioned locating groove (90) to provide axial and torsional load bearing capacity.
