    Abstract: The invention concerns steels having excellent resistance over time, in a corrosive atmosphere due to oxidizing environments such as, for example, fumes or water vapour, under high pressure and/or temperature. The invention concerns a steel composition for special applications, said composition containing, by weight, about 1.8 to 11% of chromium (and preferably between about 2.3 and 10% of chromium), less than 1% of silicon, and between 0.20 and 0.45% of manganese. It has been found that it is possible to adjust the contents of the composition based on a predetermined model, selected to obtain substantially optimal properties with respect to corrosion in specific conditions of high temperature performances. Said model can involve as additive of as residue at least one element selected among molybdenum, tungsten, cobalt, and nickel.

    Abstract: The invention concerns a threaded component for a seizure-resistant tubular threaded joint wherein a lubricating substance is deposited in a thin film on at least the surface of the threads of the threading, said surface being treated to adsorb said lubricating substance. The lubricating substance consists of a homogeneous mixture of a) a thickening agent; b) a set of extreme-pressure additives physically and chemically compatible with the thickening agent and comprising at least an extreme-pressure additive with chemical action called chemical EP additive and capable of being used at Hertz pressures not less than 1000 Mpa's; c) an oil. The proportions of the constituents of the lubricating substance are selected such that said lubricating substance has a consistency capable of ensuring a self-induced and film-forming lubricating process. The invention also concerns a method for producing the thin film.

    Abstract: The anti-seizing coating according to the invention relates to the protection of the surfaces of male (7) or female (2) components of an assembly means (1) for metal tubes by threadings coming into contact with one another at the time of screwing.This coating is constituted by a thin lead oxide layer (14) produced by the oxidation of a lead layer, which is itself formed on an underlying layer (13) of a metal such as copper and which has been directly or indirectly deposited beforehand on the surface (4, 5, 9, 10, 11, 6) to be protected against seizing. The invention also relates to the process for producing this coating and the coated assembly means obtained.
