  • Patent number: 7959278
Abstract: Method and apparatus for printing an image-wise ink pattern on a receiver. A primary imaging member includes a series of substantially equal-sized cells located over the substrate surface thereof. The primary imaging member has an electrically conductive layer. An ink jet printhead selectively ejects drops of ink into the primary imaging member cells in a desired image-wise ink pattern. The image-wise ink on the primary imaging member is fractionated to separate the liquid in the ink. A receiver is transported into operative association with the primary imaging member, and a transfer mechanism applies a pressure between the receiver and the primary imaging member, and establishes an electrostatic field to transfer the image-wise ink pattern to the receiver.

  • Patent number: 7466954
Abstract: A receiver member is provided suitable for having an ultra-gloss, image print formed thereon, the receiver member having at least one planar surface, a plurality of standoffs protruding from the planar surface, the plurality of standoffs providing a coefficient of friction for the planar surface for substantially preventing similar stacked receiver members from sticking together, and without adversely affecting any print image thereon. A member is provided for creating a contour on the receiver member. The member includes a surface contoured to exhibit a plurality of valleys which will not adversely impact print image quality, wherein a reciprocal peaked contour is formed on the receiver member.

  • Publication number: 20070240173
Abstract: A system comprising a memory heap generated dynamically by useful software and a data acquisition engine. The memory heap comprises a plurality of event structures, each including at least one each of pointers into memory external to the event structure, event operators, and arguments. The data acquisition engine is configured to look into the memory heap, evaluate event conditions as true or false based on the at least one each of the pointers, operators, and arguments, and generate a notification message when a true condition is found.

  • Publication number: 20070162158
Abstract: A method for controlling a system of devices through a series of steps to perform a useful cycle of operation comprising the steps of running a control program for directing the operation of the devices through a series of steps; dynamically generating during the running of the control program a memory heap, the memory heap comprises a plurality of event structures each having condition parameters comprising at least one each of external memory pointers to the event structure, event operators, and arguments associated with an event; identifying event conditions that evaluate as true by looking into the memory heap of structures during the running of the control program and evaluating the condition parameters for the event structures; and generating a configurable notification message when a true condition is found.

  • Patent number: 6294303
Abstract: A monocomponent electrostatographic developer is disclosed. The developer contains a negatively charging toner wherein the toner particle surface contains a positively chargeable inorganic fine powder having a mean volume average diameter of 0.5 to 7.0 &mgr;m, a cleaning ratio of 0.1 to 5.0, and a flowability improving agent having a BET specific surface area of at least 30 m2/g. A method of electrostatic imaging using the developer is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 5481243
Abstract: A vehicle deceleration detection circuitry, upon which, a vehicle's rear brake lights will provide to a trailing vehicle, a continuous and variable intensity brake light as an indication of its braking pattern. In addition, in case of emergency braking, an additional light or strobe and an audible alert buzzer or horn will be turned on as to provide additional warning to a trailing vehicle. The vehicle deceleration detection circuit includes a microprocessor for providing continuous braking pattern indication, even if the vehicle is skidding on ice or oil; a condition which generates no G-force, which will not trip any mechanical detector.
