  • Publication number: 20240119911
Abstract: A method of providing full array local dimming to a display comprises performing an image processing algorithm with a processor having instructions for: determining a new pixel value for each of a plurality of pixels of the image, mapping the new pixel value to a prior pixel value for each of the plurality of pixels, scaling the image of the zone bilinearly, repeating the determining mapping and scaling until an approximation value is reached, compiling the repeated results into a data set. The method also includes dividing an image for the display having into a plurality of zones each having at least one LED associate therewith and making an illumination decision from the data set, where the illumination decision is for the at least one LED associated with one of the plurality of zones.

  • Publication number: 20230332994
Abstract: The method uses a suspended resonating microcapillary device, and obtains simultaneously three parameters of the analytes: mass, size and refractive index, enabling the unequivocal classification of the analytes flowing in real time, based on the resonance frequency displacement and the change in reflectivity of the transparent microcapillary. The method comprises the stages of: the obtaining of a measurement of the reflectivity of the sample analytes within the capillary at each moment in time; the obtaining of a mechanical reference signal (Tt) of the change in resonance frequency of the microcapillary caused by the sample analytes over time; and the detection of the passage of the particle through an area of the capillary, and the obtaining of the points of passage of the ends of the analytes through the centre of the illuminated area, obtaining an optical signal ?T.

  • Publication number: 20220283076
Abstract: An analysis system includes a reflective substrate; a hollow elongate structure with two ends; two polymer supports coupled to the ends and joined to the substrate; a piezoelectric device coupled to the substrate and designed to produce vibrations in the elongate structure; a laser for emitting a beam; a beam splitter; a photodetector; an amplification module; and a processor. The laser beam passes through the cavity and is absorbed by the photodetector, which generates a signal that is transmitted to the amplification module. The amplification module separates the signal into a modulated component and an unmodulated component. The signal is transmitted to the processor to obtain the resonance frequency and reflectance and to provide the piezoelectric device with an excitation signal at the resonance frequency.

  • Patent number: 11175170
Abstract: Methods and systems for estimating volumes of agricultural crops are provided. A geographic position sensor provides positions of a harvesting machine as it gathers an agricultural crop and places the crop on the ground in a windrow. A speed of the harvesting machine is determined using the geographic position sensor. Signals are received from a sensor system disposed at a bottom of the harvesting machine. The signals are indicative of profiles of segments of the windrow on the ground. Cross-sectional areas of the windrow are estimated using the signals. Volumes of the agricultural crop are estimated using the speed of the harvesting machine and the estimated cross-sectional areas of the windrow.

  • Patent number: 11157453
Abstract: An approach for parallel deduplication using automatic chunk sizing. A dynamic chunk deduplicator receives a request to perform data deduplication where the request includes an identification of a dataset. The dynamic chunk deduplicator analyzes file level usage for one or more data files including the dataset to associate a deduplication chunk size with the one or more data files. The dynamic chunk deduplicator creates a collection of data segments from the dataset, based on the deduplication chunk size associated with the one or more data files. The dynamic chunk deduplicator creates a deduplication data chunk size plan where the deduplication data chunk size plan includes deduplication actions for the collection of data segments and outputs the deduplication data chunk size plan.

  • Publication number: 20210241589
Abstract: An alarm system comprises an enclosure, a power source, an alerting module, a sensor and a controller. The power source, the alerting module, the sensor and the controller are contained in the enclosure. The alerting module generates an alarm when receiving power from the power source. The sensor detects its own position information. A sensitivity of the sensor is sufficient to detect an opening of the enclosure. The controller is operatively connected to the power source, the alerting module and the sensor. The controller receives the position information from the sensor, detects a change of the position information received from the sensor and, in response to detecting the change of the position information, causes the power source to deliver power to the alerting module.
