  • Publication number: 20120212360
Abstract: A method of digitizing an analog electrical signal combines optical and electronic techniques in order to improve the resolution, sampling rate, input frequency range, or flexibility. It implements an optical interferometric modulator, which modulates an input optical signal by the input electrical signal combined with a calibration signal. A set of two or more photoreceivers receiving the output optical signals from the optical modulator produce output electrical signals, which are digitized and processed in a DSP to produce a digitized version of the electrical input signal, and a digitized calibration signal value is used to optimize the input electrical signal digitization. The method and the device can be used in many fields including instrumentation, communications, and imaging.

  • Patent number: 7546507
Abstract: A tool for testing an integrated circuit is provided. The tool includes a vector execution engine, a vector image generation engine and a vector display engine. The vector execution engine applies test patterns to the integrated circuit and captures error data being output from the test patterns. The vector image generation engine generates a file of expected output from the application of the test patterns to the integrated circuit. It should be appreciated that the generation of the vector image file occurs offline from the testing by the vector execution engine. The tool also includes a vector display engine allowing identification of vectors including error data. In one embodiment, a timestamp is associated with the vectors of the vector image file and a timestamp is associated with the vectors of the error data. A method for testing an integrated circuit and a graphical user interface are also included.

  • Patent number: 7400112
Abstract: An autoilluminating rechargeable lamp system includes a set of one or more self-standing rechargeable lighting fixtures (luminaries) removably supported on a recharging and support member. The luminaries each include a light diffusor that may resemble a candle to the from that turn on when removed from the recharging and support member. The luminaries may also turn on when power to the recharging and support member is turned off, turning the luminaries on automatically as during a power failure. The luminaries may each be inductively coupled to the recharging and support member, which enables to provide an aesthetically pleasing interface free of electrical contacts. Relative rotation of luminary cover and foot members may be used to controllably alter the characteristics of the illumination, such as dimming/brightening.

  • Publication number: 20070117073
Abstract: An embodiment of an apparatus, or corresponding method, for developing a person's behavior according to the principles of the present invention comprises at least one visual behavior indicator that represents a behavior desired of a person viewing the at least one visual behavior indicator. The apparatus, or corresponding method, further includes at least two visual choice indicators viewable with the at least one visual behavior indicator that represent choices available to the person, the choices assisting in developing the behavior in the person by assisting the person in choosing an appropriately adaptive response supporting the desired behavior or as an alternative to behavior contrary to the desired behavior.
