  • Patent number: 11983330
Abstract: An electronic device, method, and computer program product for managing a content creation application are disclosed. A first device housing is pivotable relative to a second device housing between a closed position and an axially displaced open position. A first display panel and user interface are exposed when the first device housing and the second device housing are in the axially displaced open position. A second display panel is exposed both when the first device housing and the second device housing are in the closed position and when the first device housing and the second device housing are in the axially displaced open position. The first display panel displays a content creation application, which is mirrored onto the second display panel. A portion of the user interface is overlaid onto the content creation application on second display panel and receives user input to manage the content creation application.

  • Patent number: 11984998
Abstract: Techniques for selective video conference segmentation are described and are implementable in a video conference setting. The described implementations enable control over segments of video content that are viewable by a given participant in a video conference. For instance, segments of video content are generated that represent spatial portions of video content captured by a host device. The segments can be configured in a variety of ways for inclusion in one or more video streams. The video streams can be communicated to different participants within the video conference, for instance based on a status of a given participant, thus providing different fields of view to different participants.

  • Patent number: 11974826
Abstract: A computer-assisted teleoperated surgical system includes one or more manipulator devices and other components. A manipulator device includes a first link, a second link coupled to a distal end of the first link, a third link coupled to the second link, and an instrument actuator coupled to the third link. A joint that couples the second link to the first link defines a yaw axis. A joint that couples the third link to the second link defines a pitch axis. The instrument actuator defines an insertion axis. The yaw, pitch, and insertion axes are fixed in relation to each other and intersect at a remote center of motion. The instrument actuator may insert a surgical instrument along the insertion axis roll and may roll the surgical instrument around the insertion axis. The proximal end of the first link may be coupled to a repositionable setup structure, which may optionally be mechanically grounded to an operating room table.

  • Patent number: 11962443
Abstract: A receiver comprises a matched filter bank, decision logic and a frequency offset estimator. The matched filter bank comprises an input for receiving data representative of a frequency- or phase-modulated signal. The decision logic generates a sequence of demodulated symbol values from outputs of the matched filter bank. The frequency offset estimator determines a first phase value from a first output and a second phase value from a second output of the matched filter bank, the second output being offset from the first by L symbol periods. It also determines a phase adjustment value from an L-symbol subsequence within the sequence of demodulated symbol values, each subsequence value being determined from values output by the matched filter bank between the first and second outputs. It estimates a frequency offset based on the difference between the first phase value plus the phase adjustment value, and the second phase value.

  • Patent number: 11949564
Abstract: Systems, methods, and media for generating a virtual gaming environment. Specifically, an instance of a virtual gaming environment is generated and hosted on a server. Responsive to communicatively connecting a first and second user computing devices, a virtual gaming environment is populated with at least a first virtual avatar, a virtual desktop, a second virtual avatar, and a second virtual desktop. It is determined that the first virtual avatar is within a first predetermined distance of the second desktop, and based on this, a resolution at which to render a visual representation of activities being executed by a second user computing device associated with the second desktop is determined. A bandwidth at which the visual representation is renderable in real time at the determined resolution is calculated. The visual representation is transmitted, utilizing the calculated bandwidth, to the first user computing device at the determined resolution.

  • Publication number: 20240104857
Abstract: An electronic system, a method, and a computer program product generate a video recording or stream with a spherical background image that maintains orientation like a natural background for a video call as an image capturing device changes location or aim direction. The method includes connecting, by a communication subsystem of an electronic system, over a network to a video communication session with second electronic device(s). The method includes determining a stationary orientation of a spherical background image in a virtual space geospatially aligned with a first physical location of the electronic system. The method includes extracting a foreground image from an image stream from image capturing device(s). The method includes generating a composite image stream of the foreground image superimposed on the spherical background image. • Publication number: 20240106982
Abstract: An electronic system, a method, and a computer program product generate a video recording or stream with spherical background effects for video generation with automatic gesture-control background positioning for a spatially constrained user. The method includes extracting a foreground image from an image stream of the field of view captured by the image capturing device. The method includes generating a composite image stream of the foreground image superimposed on the spherical background image. The method includes identifying, within the image stream, that the foreground image is in a physically constrained space defined by physical constraint(s) around at least a portion of a background of the foreground image. In response to identifying that the foreground image is in a physically constrained space, the method includes activating a gesture-controlled background repositioning feature of the electronic system to automatically rotate a spherical background image based on receipt of a gesture control input.

  • Patent number: 11942937
Abstract: Pulse-generator-based reciprocal quantum logic (RQL) bias-level sensors are fabricated on an RQL integrated circuit (IC) to sample AC or DC bias values provided to operational RQL circuitry on the RQL IC. The bias-level sensors include pulse generators having strengthened or weakened bias taps (transformer couplings to RQL AC clock resonators or DC bias lines) as compared to bias taps of Josephson transmission lines in the operational RQL circuitry, or Josephson junctions (JJs) with larger or smaller critical currents as compared to JJs in the operational RQL circuitry. Pulse generators with weakened bias taps or larger JJs can have lower limits of their operational ranges placed near an optimal bias point at the centroid of the operating region of the operational RQL circuitry. The bias-level sensors can be staged by relative strength to indicate whether a provided bias value is an improvement when varied over a range.
