  • Publication number: 20220192030
Abstract: The disclosure relates to systems and methods for using additive manufacturing (AM) to fabricate printed circuits having side-mounted components and contacts. More specifically, the disclosure is directed to additive manufacturing methods for fabricating electronic components (AME), for example; printed circuit board (PCB), flexible printed circuit (FPC) and high-density interconnect printed circuit board (HDIPCB) (the PCBs, FPCs, and HDIPCB's together referred to as AMEs, or AME circuits), having conductive contacts and/or components along the Z axis of side walls or facets of the each of the printed AMEs.

  • Patent number: 10037676
Abstract: A system and method for monitoring and screening individuals subject to voluntary or mandatory personal conduct restrictions, such as prohibitions on alcohol and drug use, as well as geographic travel limitations using remote wireless communications and smartphone technology. A computer software program, including a Client Module and a downloadable Subject Module is preferably provided as part of the system to facilitate the execution of the method. Biometric verification of the Subject's identity is achieved via wireless communication from the subject to the Client. A comparison of a first facial photograph obtained from the subject in a known, non- impaired condition with a current facial photograph obtained from the subject and wirelessly transmitted to the client provides a basis for determining a probability of cognitive impairment. GPS data obtained from the Subject's smartphone enables compliance with travel requirements.

  • Publication number: 20150210407
Abstract: An aerial vehicle including a collapsible and inflatable vehicle body capable of being filled with a lighter than air gas so as to make the vehicle semi-buoyant or 100% buoyant at a predetermined altitude in an atmosphere above a solar system body. The vehicle body has a shape suitable to provide aerodynamic lift. The vehicle may include a propulsion device coupled to and extending from the vehicle body, where the device provides power to aerodynamically lift the vehicle above the 100% buoyant altitude to a higher altitude where the vehicle can maintain that altitude through the aerodynamic lift and vehicle buoyancy. The vehicle is configured to be deployed/inflated from a collapsed and stowed configuration to a deployed/inflated configuration in an orbit above the atmosphere of the solar system body, and is configured to enter the atmosphere in the inflated configuration and descend without propulsion.

  • Patent number: 5676551
Abstract: An interactive presentation and/or entertainment system, such as interactive personal computer software and/or interactive television, allows a participant to modulate the emotions of a character or personality, thereby influencing the branches to an interpersonal relationship over time. As a result, a broad range of computerized dramatic situations or stories are presented that closely resemble human interpersonal relationships. Source image/sound data may include prerecorded video, prerecorded audio, computer-based audio, computer-based imagery, computer-generated dialogue, and/or computer-generated characters. The range of emotional choices made by a participant may include all emotions that human beings can experience and, in turn, represent by thought, word, or action.
