Abstract: A landscaping and gardening attachment for a hand-held rotary power tool, such as a hand-held drill or weed trimmer, is provided for facilitating hole digging and the subsequent planting of vegetation. The landscaping and gardening attachment of the present invention comprises both a blade member and an elongated central shaft. The elongated central shaft is attached to the hand-held power tool at a first end of the shaft, and a second end of the shaft is secured to the blade member. The blade member may comprise a generally triangular-shaped axial cross section. In use, the blade member provides for rapid digging of planting holes, wherein the removed dirt remains about the circumference of the hole. In alternative embodiments, the hand-held power tool may be in the form of commonly owned rotary power tools, such as a weed trimmer, a hand-held power drill, a cordless screwdriver, or the like.
