  • Patent number: 10073446
Abstract: An automated modular quality control center assembly for tubulars having an automated inlet module, an automated transfer module, and an automated parameter defined segregation module. The automated inlet module has a pipe conveyor, which receives the tubulars from an initial pipe rack. The tubulars are rolled off the automated inlet module pipe conveyor to an automated transfer module pipe conveyor. The tubulars on the automated transfer module pipe conveyor pass in close proximity to and are scanned by the survey instrument detector. An automated pass fail pipe conveyor receives the tubulars from automated transfer module pipe conveyor. A pass test exit pipe rack or a fail test exit pipe rack receives the tubulars from the automated pass fail pipe conveyor that pass or fail a preset survey instrument limit of the survey instrument detector.

  • Patent number: 9862010
Abstract: Described herein is a pipe cleaning apparatus of relatively uncomplicated construction. The apparatus includes a pipe support assembly having a number of cradles for supporting oilfield pipe. The cradles are positioned side-by-side with one pair of cradles supporting the opposite ends of each pipe. A number of lances are positioned side-by-side and are adapted to simultaneously penetrate the oilfield pipe in the pipe support. A mill is affixed to the free end of one of the lances. An air-driven tube cleaner is affixed to the free end of another one of the lances. A water jet nozzle is affixed to the free end of still another one of the lances.

  • Patent number: 9770741
Abstract: A pipe cleaning apparatus for cleaning the insides of pipes, tubes, and conduits having a pipe support assembly. The pipe support assembly having a plurality of cradles positioned side-by-side to support oilfield pipe. The pair of cradles has C-shaped clamping members, engaging the opposite sides of a pipe and locking the pipe within the pair of cradles. A pipe feeder delivers the oilfield pipe to a plurality of cradles and a pipe receiver receives the oilfield pipe from the plurality of cradles. The pipe cleaning apparatus has a plurality of lances positioned side by side to penetrate the oilfield pipe. The plurality of lances are affixed to a mill, an air-driven tube cleaner, and a water jet nozzle. A pair of pipe conveyors moves the oilfield pipe from one pair of cradles to another pair of cradles.

  • Patent number: 6137028
Abstract: A method for the disposal of oil field wastes contaminated with naturally occurring radioactive materials (NORM). The method includes the steps of: drilling a pair of wells which intersect in a salt formation, providing a slurry containing NORM wastes and a carrier liquid, injecting the slurry through one of the wells into the salt formation wherein the NORM wastes settle, and removing the carrier liquid from the other one of the wells. One carrier liquid, fresh water, dissolves the salt formation to form and enlarge a cavern for receiving the NORM wastes. The quantities of carrier liquid removed from the salt formation are disposed of by injection into permeable formation remote from the salt formation.
