  • Publication number: 20230150379
Abstract: An electronic device, a power factor correction filter, and an electronic device are provided. The electronic device includes at least one first inductor, a second inductor, a first comparator circuit, a second comparator circuit, a first reference signal generator, and a second reference signal generator. The first inductor and the second inductor are coupled inductors. The first/second comparator circuit is coupled at a first input to a first/second actuating element, at a second input to the first/second reference signal generator, and at an output to a first/second control circuit. The first/second control circuit is coupled to the first/second inductor in order to output a first/second current signal to the first/second inductor. The first and second reference signals are generated such that the two reference signals differ from each other with respect to time, in order to reduce a deviation from a predefined phase shift between the first current signal and the second current signal.

  • Publication number: 20200412272
Abstract: A voltage converter is designed to convert an alternating input voltage into a direct output voltage. The voltage converter includes a first sub-converter having a first switch half-bridge, which is coupled to a first pole of the input voltage by a first main coil, and a second sub-converter having a second switch half-bridge, which is coupled to the first pole of the input voltage by a second main coil. In addition, the voltage converter includes a diode half-bridge, which is jointly used by the first sub-converter and the second sub-converter. The voltage converter has a first return coil and a second return coil, which couple a center point of the diode half-bridge to a second pole of the input voltage. The first and second main coils and the first and second return coils form a coupled choke, the coupled choke having a choke core.

  • Patent number: 10020724
Abstract: A controller for determining the duty-ratio for a pulse width modulator of a converter includes an inner current loop, an outer voltage loop and a multiplier with an input voltage feed forward to connect both loops. A prediction unit determines a correction signal icor that is added to the reference current iref by means of an adder and it further determines a sample correction signal to correct the current samples in the current loop. This error-controlled duty-ratio prediction with sample correction results in an improved total harmonic distortion as well as in an improved power factor of the converter.
