  • Patent number: 7895138
Abstract: An audio data processing device (100) comprises an audio redistributor (101) adapted to generate a first number of audio data output signals (102; Z1 . . . ZM) based on a second number of audio data input signals (103; X1 . . . XN), and an audio classifier (104) adapted to generate gradually sliding control signals (P), in a gradually sliding dependence on types of audio content according to which the second number of audio data input signals (103; X1 . . . XN) are classified, for controlling the audio redistributor (101) that generates the first number of audio data output signals (102; Z1 . . . ZM) from the second number of audio data input signals (103; X1 . . . XN).

  • Patent number: 7864631
Abstract: The invention describes a method of determining the distance (d12) between two loudspeakers (L1, L2), wherein the method comprises the steps of providing a test signal (N), combining the test signal (N) with a sound signal (S) to give a combined signal (SN) in which the test signal is imperceptible to a listener (4), and issuing the combined signal (SN) by means of a first loudspeaker (L1). The combined signal (SN) is detected by a detecting means (M2) associated with the second loudspeaker (L2) and processed to obtain an acoustic impulse response (IR), which is used to determine the distance (d1,2) between the first loudspeaker (L1) and the second loudspeaker (L2). The invention further describes a system (1) for determining the distance (d1,2) between two loudspeakers (L1, L2) and an acoustic sound system, comprising a number of loudspeakers (L1, L2, . . . , Lk) for reproduction of multi-channel sound, and a system (1) for determining the distances (d1,2, d2,3, . . .

  • Publication number: 20070057909
Abstract: An apparatus (1) comprising a display screen (150), the apparatus (1) further comprising means (24) for activating said display screen (150) to serve as a loudspeaker for reproducing an audio signal (A), means (20) for detecting if said display is viewed by a user of the apparatus, and means (22) for adjusting the reproduction of said audio signal (A) in order to reduce display distortion in dependence on said detecting (20) if said display screen (150) is viewed. An advantage of reproducing an audio signal (A) according to the invention is that audio properties normally causing optical distortion in the display screen (150) may be reproduced in situations where the user is not able to perceive the optical distortion. These audio properties may contribute to an advantageous reproduction of the audio signal (A).
