  • Patent number: 4969242
Abstract: A tied shoelace shield defined by two cooperating parts presenting a cavity for receiving the shoelace during tieing and, thereafter, a cover concealing the tied shoelace. The parts of the invention are reversible end-to-end, and foot-to-foot, and serve simplicity for assembly. The shield presents multi-purposes, including better shoelace tightening due to release of pressure from the top of the foot by the shield and, when covered after shoelace tieing, the positive location of the tied shoelace ends within the cavity so as to prevent tripping or the like.
