  • Patent number: 8434493
Abstract: The adjustable mouth shield device provides an adjustably fitted mouth shield with adjustable headband for secure fit. The adjustable headband is fastened to the padded earpiece. The straight first extension from the earpiece is angled downwardly and forwardly to terminate in a swivel joint providing almost 360 degrees of swivel. The second extension is arced both downwardly and forwardly. The u-shaped mouthpiece is fitted to the adjustable spring mount for horizontal pivot of the mouthpiece. The mouthpiece may, by virtue of the swivel joint and the spring mount, be moved completely away from a user's mouth and, in turn, pivoted and swiveled to be directly in front of the user's mouth. The inward curves at the distal end of the mouthpiece aid in sliding on the disposable pads that shield a user from objects, foods and other materials.

  • Publication number: 20110224609
Abstract: An adapter device (100, 200) for use in combination with a syringe (20) to form an assembly (10) for delivering an intradermal injection. The adapter device comprises a body (110, 210) which is connectable to the syringe. A second primary skin contacting surface (232) is positioned at a distal end (126, 226) of the body. At least one support element (140, 150, 240) is connected to the body. With the assembly in an assembled condition, the at least one support element supports a needle cannula (24) connected to the syringe. The needle cannula is supported by the at least one support element intermediate a base (26) and a tip (28) of the needle cannula. At least a terminal portion of the needle cannula extends axially in a direction substantially parallel to at least a planar portion of the second primary skin contacting surface.

  • Publication number: 20110010990
Abstract: The present disclosure provides devices for rooting and/or dormancy for plant bulbs. The devices can include at least two components configured to form a chamber when engaged and at least one of the components can receive electronic communication and control the environment within the chamber. The devices can include at least one tray, which supports one soil vessel within the chamber. The chamber is environmentally controlled to provide rooting and/or dormancy for plant bulbs and can include at least two elements that engage and define a space substantially free of ambient light. At least one of the elements can control the environment within the space. The present method provides for bulb rooting and/or dormancy by coupling at least two components to form a chamber and providing an environment conducive to bulb rooting and/or dormancy within the chamber by maintaining a predetermined temperature within the chamber.

  • Patent number: 7280519
Abstract: Disclosed is a scalable, hybrid mobile network termed the Metropolitan Area Mobile Network (MAMN) based on a new dynamic mobile network protocol-DynaMo. DynaMo supports TCP/IP based communication between nodes, whether they are moving or stationary. DynaMo is a location-based routing technique that integrates MAMN, with wired TCP/IP networks (such as the Internet). Through the disclosed use of a modified Domain Name Services (DNS), communication between wired and wireless nodes, moving or stationary, is supported and is transparent to the end-user. DynaMo supports the use of multiple channels and implements a scheme for channel reuse. A hybrid encryption mechanism, based on public/private key pairs enables signed and secure communication.
