  • Publication number: 20230417523
Abstract: A carrier device includes a body member having two parallel sections, terminal ends of which extend in a common direction. A bracket nested with the body member has two lateral side members extending in the common direction. Each side member has a terminal end and a loop proximate the end defining a hole. An interior is defined between the sections of the body member and between the side members of the bracket. A binding member engages the sections of the body member and passes through the respective hole of each side member defined by the loop. A retention member, for retaining a magazine when inserted into the carrier device, also passes through the respective holes. The binding member draws sections of the body member toward each other to maintain frictional engagement of an inserted magazine or other article with interior contact points of the carrier device.

  • Publication number: 20220155047
Abstract: A carrier device includes: a first panel having hooks, and an inward side, the inward side facing an interior of the carrier device; a second panel having an inward side, the inward side facing the interior of the carrier device opposite the inward side of the first panel; and a binding member for releasably connecting the hooks of the first panel to the second panel. The first panel includes an exterior surface opposite the inward side thereof. All portions of the hooks are flush or sunken relative to the exterior surface of the first panel. The binding member draws lateral edges of the first panel toward lateral edges of the second panel to maintain frictional engagement of an inserted magazine or other article with interior contact points of the carrier device. The panels may include mounting holes for mounting the carrier on another device or structure.

  • Patent number: 7082716
Abstract: A devise for watering vegetation has a cylindrical tube that can be laid flat and rolled up. The tube has a watertight seal about 2 to about 6 inches from each end, which leaves a flap at each end. The flaps can be attached to stakes that can be driven into the ground. There are one or two openings along the length of the tube through which water can be admitted into the tube. At or near the bottom of the tube is at least one drip emitter from which water can leave the tube. Two or more tubes can be joined together using a single stake though the flaps of the tubes. The tubes can be arranged in a line, a circle, or other arrangements.

  • Patent number: 6355541
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for transfer of a thin-film via implantation, wafer bonding, and separation. A method for transfer of a thin-film, includes: implanting a source crystal with ions along a crystallographic channel and at a temperature of at least approximately 200° C. to i) form a strained region and ii) define the thin-film; then bonding a surface of the thin-film to a target wafer; and then separating a) the target wafer and the thin-film from b) a remainder of the source crystal along the strained region. The systems and methods provide advantages because the electrical carriers in the crystal, and consequently the thin-film, are not deactivated and the quality of the transferred thin-film is improved.

  • Patent number: 5661044
Abstract: A method for preparing a silicon-on-insulator material having a relatively defect-free Si overlayer involves the implanting of oxygen ions within a silicon body and the interruption of the oxygen-implanting step to implant Si ions within the silicon body. The implanting of the oxygen ions develops an oxide layer beneath the surface of the silicon body, and the Si ions introduced by the Si ion-implanting step relieves strain which is developed in the Si overlayer during the implanting step without the need for any intervening annealing step. By relieving the strain in this manner, the likelihood of the formation of strain-induced defects in the Si overlayer is reduced. In addition, the method can be carried out at lower processing temperatures than have heretofore been used with SIMOX processes of the prior art. The principles of the invention can also be used to relieve negative strain which has been induced in a silicon body of relatively ordered lattice structure.
