  • Publication number: 20220050129
Abstract: A detector 1 detects the presence of a charged object due to a static or DC voltage source 4. The detector 1 includes a sensor 30 positioned in an electric field 3 emanating from the DC voltage source 4. A sensor signal 20 is processed by a processor 21, and, when the DC voltage source 4 is detected, the processor 21 produces an alert signal to warn a user of a potentially hazardous situation.

  • Patent number: 11117286
Abstract: The current invention provides apparatus and a method for use with a drill bit to form a hole in a workpiece, said apparatus including a clamping means to clamp a workpiece in which the hole is to be formed in position with the apparatus, a drill bit holder assembly and drive means for rotating the drill bit and moving the same into the workpiece so as to drill the hole at a required angle and depth into the workpiece. Typically the depth of the hole is set in relation to the thickness of the workpiece which is clamped in position at that time and the apparatus includes a first part which is held by a first hand of the user and movable by the user with respect to a second part which is held by a second hand of the user and the relative movement is translated into movement of the drill bit holder to move the rotating drill bit into the workpiece.

  • Patent number: 11020807
Abstract: The current invention relates to jig apparatus which is provided of a form to allow accurate positioning and repositioning of the same with respect to workpiece and the use of the jig apparatus to provide a guide for the provision of a drill bit through at least one guide passages therein to form a hole in the workpiece at a required location. In one embodiment the jig apparatus is provided in a form so as to provide a plurality of passages, each of which can be used as a guide for a drill bit to thereby allow a plurality of spaced apart drill holes to be formed in the workpiece without the need to move the jig apparatus with respect to the workpiece. In one embodiment guide means are provided which are selectively positionable by the user in order to allow the position of the jig apparatus with respect to the workpiece to be accurately defined and retained by the user.

  • Patent number: 10766079
Abstract: The invention relates to a drill hold assembly and a jig including the same. The drill hold assembly includes an engaging means which is selectively moveable between a released position to allow sliding movement of the drill bit with respect thereto and an engaged position in which the drill bit is held in a fixed position or within a predefined range of movement with respect to the engaging block to thereby maintain the drill bit in location with the drill hold assembly. The jig apparatus can be used with a powered drill to rotate the drill bit to provide a driving force to the drill bit and the jig is attached to a support surface and a workpiece is positioned between first and second jaws of the jig and the drill bit is advanced along a guide and introduced into the workpiece to form a hole therein at a predefined angle.

  • Publication number: 20190054547
Abstract: The invention relates to apparatus for use with a drill bit which is driven to rotate so as to form a hole in a workpiece with which the same is contacted. The apparatus includes guide means with which the drill bit is located and a body with which the workpiece is located and said guide means is movable with respect to the body to cause the drill bit to be advanced along a path which includes an arc portion and, as it is driven to rotate, move into the workpiece to form said hole and allow the hole to be formed in a guided manner with greater accuracy.
