  • Patent number: 6718969
Abstract: A medication dosage inhaler system with a main body having a round hollow cylindrical inward portion and a plurality of apertures and a round hollow cylindrical inward portion with a radially displaced round cylindrical hollow medication passageway, a T-shaped adaptor having a stepped gas connector forming an open pathway for the deliverance of a medical gas, an end cap having a one way valve for a one way flow of gas there through and a plurality of apertures, a medication dosage delivery container having a projecting medication delivering tube, a mouthpiece, and an oxygen source to mate with the stepped gas connector of the T-shaped adaptor.

  • Patent number: 6708688
Abstract: A metered dosage inhaler system with variable positive pressure settings has a hollow housing with a front portion with a cylindrical protruding user adaptor portion, a top face having apertures, a user controlled air resistance dial, a bottom face having a handle/input, and a cylindrical downwardly extending hollow handle portion. The first end of the handle portion is adapted to form an airtight removable coupling with the handle/input adaptor. An end piece with holes is adapted to couple to the second end of the handle portion. A spherical ball has a diameter less than that of the handle portion and removably rests in the handle portion. The ball rises in response to a vacuum caused by a,patient. A mouth piece portion has a cylindrical first portion removably coupled to the adapter portion and a tapered second portion adapted to fit comfortably within the mouth of a patient.

  • Patent number: 6581593
Abstract: An oxygen connector system for coupling an oxygen source to an oxygen tube comprises a source of oxygen. The source has an output orifice through which source oxygen is adapted to pass. The orifice has an inner bore and an outer surface. A flexible cylindrical elastomeric tube has a first input end and a second output end. The first input end is adapted to make a flush abutment with the source at the orifice. A generally cylindrical rigid connector has an exterior surface with a first region and a second region. An intermediate tapered region is provided between the first and second regions. The connector has a central generally cylindrical bore extending through the first and second ends forming an interior surface. The second end has a diameter slightly greater than that of the tube. A pair of stoppers are provided adjacent to the input end of the tube.

  • Patent number: 6539939
Abstract: A breathing support system comprises a housing, a plate with a central aperture forming an annular bearing surface and with peripheral air passageways and a cap with a base and a wall slidably extending into the distal region. Air ports have a tubular guide extending proximally from the base. A valve assembly includes a disc formed with a periphery selectively positionable in contact with the bearing surface and passageways and also includes a thin rod with a distal end adjustably received within the guide. A resilient member is positioned between the base and plate urging the base and cap distally and the disc into contact with the bearing surface and passageways. An exhaust valve adapted to allow the exhaling of air is located on an upper radial extent of an intermediate region of the housing. A primary port is adapted to receive and support a bottle of primary medication.
