Publication number: 20230359583Abstract: In various embodiments, and apparatus may include at least one hardware processor; and a pipeline data processor implemented on the at least one hardware processor, the pipeline data processor including at least one source module to provide at least one continuous data stream to one or more processing pipelines and at least one sink module to input data from the one or more processing pipelines; wherein the pipeline data processor comprises a plurality of different paths extending through the plurality of pipeline analytic modules; wherein the input paths are forward-only requiring that an input of one pipeline analytic module of a processing pipeline is output by another pipeline analytic module earlier in the processing pipeline or the at least one source module. Other embodiments may be disclosed and/or claimed.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 5, 2022Publication date: November 9, 2023Inventors: Jack William Bell, Darrin Garrett, Matthew Cedric Vogel, Dana Richard Powell

Patent number: 9401057Abstract: A computing device is connected to a motor vehicle's diagnostic port or communication port to acquire vehicle sensor data, for example from various pressure, temperature, oxygen, fuel and other sensors typically installed on a motor vehicle for other reasons. Acquired sensor data is wirelessly transmitted to a remote server where the acquired sensor data can be compared to a database of stored sensor data to identify the motor vehicle. Additional functionality is described that leverages uploaded sensor data. Sensor data may be uploaded to the server in near-real time, and/or buffered locally and uploaded by periodic or episodic, push or pull communication protocols.Type: GrantFiled: June 29, 2015Date of Patent: July 26, 2016Assignee: Airbiquity Inc.Inventors: Darrin Garrett, Darren Mann

Patent number: 8676135Abstract: Methods and apparatus are disclosed for improvements in vehicle entertainment systems. A user (vehicle passenger) may wish to buy a song (or other media item) that is currently playing on the vehicle digital radio. In one embodiment, the user may direct a purchase command directly to a music vendor, without going through a central server. In the example of purchasing digital music files, such vendors currently may include iTunes, Amazon.com, Rhapsody and others. The purchase command may be entered at the user's mobile phone user interface. In another embodiment, the purchase request may be entered to the vehicle control system without the use of a mobile phone. The requested media item is downloaded to the vehicle and or to a designated alternative destination which may be the user's home or office or mobile device.Type: GrantFiled: October 28, 2009Date of Patent: March 18, 2014Assignee: Airbiquity Inc.Inventors: Leon Hong, Kamyar Moinzadeh, David Quimby, Darrin Garrett

Publication number: 20130242810Abstract: In an example, a processing device of an electronic device is configured to determine whether to provide digital data (other than encoded voice) of the first electronic device to a resource of a second electronic device. The processing device is configured to, in response to determining to provide the digital data of the first electronic device to the resource, establish a connection with the second electronic device over an external interface of the electronic device using a first full duplex voice profile of a short range communication protocol. The processing device is configured to convert the digital data into audio information and transmit the audio information over the established connection.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 12, 2013Publication date: September 19, 2013Applicant: AIRBIQUITY INC.Inventor: Darrin Garrett

Patent number: 8195093Abstract: In one example, a Bluetooth enabled mobile device discovers the Bluetooth profile capability of a plurality of mobile phones and stores the profile information in a database. Thereafter, when access to a remote network such as an Internet Protocol (IP) network is necessitated by an event, the Bluetooth enabled mobile device can establish a Bluetooth connection with an available mobile phone according to a comparison of the event to the stored profile information for that mobile phone. The Bluetooth enabled mobile device can then establish a transport layer connection that extends over the established Bluetooth connection and a wireless telecommunications network associated with the available phone and exchange data with a remote network using the established transport layer connection.Type: GrantFiled: August 29, 2011Date of Patent: June 5, 2012Inventors: Darrin Garrett, Leon L. Hong
