  • Patent number: 6998530
Abstract: A poke through includes a tube assembly having inner and outer tube sections that are slidably telescopically disposed together. A lip protrudes from the outer end of at least one of the tube sections. A cup is selectively and removably disposed on one of the tube sections. The cup has a body plate and a flange. A portion of the lip on the tube section on which the cup is disposed engages the front surface of the body plate. In one embodiment, an adjustable plug has a plurality of selectively removable rings. The adjustable plug fits inside one of the tube sections to seal and insulate the poke through both before and after the poke through is in use.

  • Patent number: 6932303
Abstract: A cover having first and second halves is used in combination with clamps to cover elongated items such as wires and pipes. The first and second halves cooperate together to form a cavity that receives the elongated items and clamps. The halves may be formed with identical cross sections so that they may be fabricated from a single mold. The halves may snap together or be connected with a fastener. Each cover half includes a pair of opposed locking ledges that form slots sized to receive the opposed feet of the clamp. The clamps are installed by angling the clamps with respect to the longitudinal axis of the cover and pressing the clamp against the base wall of the cover. The clamp is then twisted to a position substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the cover. The twisting motion simultaneously moves the feet of the clamp under the locking ledges of the clamp cover.

  • Patent number: 6749499
Abstract: A register cover for a register opening in a floor includes a body with a pair of legs extending from and pivoted to the body. Each of the legs may pivot between extended and retracted positions. The legs are adapted to be inserted into the register opening when the legs are in the retracted position. Another register cover is wrapped around a rigid register vent to protect the vent during construction.

  • Patent number: 6647979
Abstract: A solar-powered water heating system provides heated water to a pool in an aesthetically-pleasing, leak-resistant manner. The invention provides a heat gathering unit disposed in a tray that fits within the deck boards of a typical roof. Shingles are disposed over the heat gathering unit and any leaks that occur within the heat gathering unit flow out over the top of the shingles. A drain conduit is provided below supply and return pipes so that any leaks flowing out of the supply and return pipes and their connections with the heat gathering unit will be directed out of the building structure to a location where the leak may be readily detected.
