  • Publication number: 20050247085
Abstract: A security system for a storage compartment including a latch assembly disposed on an interior side of a door for latching the door in a closed position with the storage compartment. A plurality of reciprocating latch elements are included in the latch assembly for latching the door in a closed position with the storage compartment. A latch actuator included in the latch assembly moves the latch elements to latch the door. A master lock assembly controls operation of the latch actuator by having a first locking part of the master lock assembly interlocking with a second locking part carried by the latch actuator.

  • Patent number: 6843084
Abstract: A security system for a storage container including a latch assembly disposed on an interior side of a door for latching the door in a closed position with the storage container. A plurality of reciprocating latch elements are included in the latch assembly for latching the door in a closed position with the storage container. A latch actuator included in the latch assembly moves the latch elements to latch the door. A master lock assembly controls operation of the latch actuator by having a first locking part of the master lock assembly interlocking with a second locking part carried by an elongated shaft connected to an operator on the container exterior. A tamper-resistant control blocks access to the master lock assembly from outside the storage container whereby access to the container interior is prevented when the latch assembly is closed and the master lock assembly is in an engaged position.

  • Publication number: 20040056767
Abstract: A sensor device for monitoring conditions within an interior of an enclosed container which is operative to detect changes in conditions within the container caused by tampering or unauthorized access to the container. The sensor device includes a sensor dome, having a sensor, positioned within the container. An external status indicator is positioned on an exterior of the container and in communication with the sensor. The status indicator signals the current security status within the container based the signal output of the sensor. The indicator has a first condition signaling a secured status and a second condition signaling a breached status. The signals include a visual signal for an inspector on the exterior of the container indicating an unbreached or a breached container.
