Patent number: 11979007Abstract: An anti-rotation device is provided for stringing a cable or wire while reducing a twisting moment of the cable or wire as it is strung. The device includes a tow component, having multiple tow sections pivotally connectable end-to-end. A plurality of insulated weighted tail components are suspended so as to hang from the tow component. Each of the insulated tail components include weighted tail sections releasably connectable end-to-end to one another. At least one electrically insulated tail section is provided in each insulated tail component between the tow component and the weighted tail sections. The tail components are constrained to only articulate relative to the tow component in the single plane of bending of the tow component.Type: GrantFiled: December 18, 2020Date of Patent: May 7, 2024Assignee: Quanta Associates, L.P.Inventors: Daniel Neil O'Connell, David Karl Wabnegger, Raymond Henry Jodoin, Robert Wayne Palmer, John Christopher Green

Patent number: 11971893Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed to implement a bounded group by query system that computes approximate time-sliced statistics for groups of records in a dataset according to a group by query. In embodiments, a single pass scan of the dataset is performed to accumulate exact results for a maximum number of groups in a result grouping structure (RGS) and approximate results for additional groups in an approximate result grouping structure (ARGS). RGSs and ARGSs are accumulated by a set of accumulator nodes and provided to an aggregator node, which combines the received structures to generate exact or approximate statistical results for at least a subset of the groups in the dataset. Advantageously, the disclosed query system is able to produce approximate results for at least some of the groups in a single pass of the dataset using size-bounded data structures, without predetermining the actual number of groups in the dataset.Type: GrantFiled: July 22, 2020Date of Patent: April 30, 2024Assignee: Rapid7, Inc.Inventors: David Christopher Tracey, Miguel Angel Casanova

Publication number: 20240131420Abstract: Enhancements to existing gaming controllers facilitating expedient response time and fine-tuned accuracy are described. The enhancements comprise the internal modification of the stock resistance force supplied by the analog stick centering spring mechanism. Through modification, the force of resistance supplied may be increased to over 200 grams of force, or down to 40 grams of force, while maintaining full function of the analog stick mechanism. A second primary enhancement replaces the stock triggers, conventionally equipped with progressive resistance sensors, to a momentary ‘snap-action’ two-way switch, minimizing trigger pull distance, and removing the analog nature of the trigger to achieve optimal performance.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 26, 2023Publication date: April 25, 2024Inventor: David Christopher Bailey

Patent number: 11966781Abstract: Various methods, apparatuses/systems, and media for implementing a standalone application module are disclosed. A configuration database stores information about one or more infrastructure resources. A receiver receives a request to connect to an infrastructure resource. A processor accesses the configuration database to fetch information about the infrastructure resource; accesses one or more external resource databases to fetch infrastructure resources that are required to run an application; dynamically creates the infrastructure resources accessed from the one or more external resource databases: and establishes and maintains a connection to the dynamically created infrastructure resources required by the application to function running in background in a user's system.Type: GrantFiled: March 9, 2021Date of Patent: April 23, 2024Assignee: JPMORGAN CHASE BANK, N.A.Inventors: Sudheendra Ayyalasomayajula, Raghuram Vudathu, David Christopher Carey, Rajat Tandon, Kelly Patrick Ernst, Michael Polise, Cameron Boucher, Daniel Patterson

Publication number: 20240126846Abstract: The present invention extends to methods, systems, and computer program products for identifying and consenting to permissions for workflow and code execution. Aspects of the invention can be used to automatically scan a workflow or code definition to identify (potentially all) the actions/triggers a workflow or program intends to perform on behalf of a user. The user is shown the actions/triggers the workflow or program intends to perform (e.g., at a user interface) before consent to perform the actions/triggers is granted. As such, a user is aware of intended actions/triggers of a workflow or program before granting consent. Further, since actions/triggers are identified from the workflow or code definition (and not formulated by an author), permission requests better align with permissions that workflow or program functionality actually uses during execution.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 26, 2023Publication date: April 18, 2024Inventors: Sunay VAISHNAV, Merwan Vishnu HADE, Stephen Christopher SICILIANO, David NISSIMOFF, FNU Anubhav

Publication number: 20240108453Abstract: Methods employ bioresorbable corneal implants to treat corneal ectatic disorders and/or refractive errors. The corneal implants may be formed from a porous microstructure that can encourage the proliferation of endogenous keratocytes. As such, the corneal implants act as tissue scaffolds that promote tissue growth to increase the biomechanical stability and/or change the shape of the cornea. Over time, the corneal implants may resorb via hydrolysis or enzymatic breakdown, negating the risks of inflammation, scarring, or foreign body response. The corneal implants may also employ drug coating(s) to promote tissue growth.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 14, 2023Publication date: April 4, 2024Inventors: Desmond Christopher Adler, David Usher
