    Abstract: A ligature-resistant folded-sheet paper towel dispenser includes a rear housing with a rear mounting plane surface for securing the ligature-resistant paper towel dispenser to a wall. A front cover is rotatably coupled and lockable to the rear housing, and a hidden paper outlet formed by the front cover, the rear housing, or a combination of the front cover and the rear housing is fed by a paper path terminating in an outlet slot at the bottom of the towel dispenser to dispense paper towels from a stack of folded-sheet paper towels. The paper path is inclined so that an exit of the outlet slot is directed toward the rear face of the housing to prevent upward insertion of a ligature. The cover is rounded to prevent formation of a ligature by looping, and the front cover and rear housing form a blind seam to prevent insertion of a ligature.

Internal components of the ligature-resistant IV bag hanger are enclosed in a housing. The internal components of the ligature-resistant bag hanger include one or more bag support hooks that have an extension portion extending from an interior of the housing and that are rotatable around an axle located within the housing. In a reset position, the bag support hook(s) support(s) an intravenous bag in a saddle portion of the hook up to a threshold weight limit. In a triggered position, initiated by a downward force in excess of the threshold weight limit rotating the hook downward, the hook rotates so that an attempted ligature formed above the saddle portion of the hook is released by retraction of the saddle portion of the within the housing.

The rear profile of the cover portion matches a mating surface of a front profile of the wall plate in width and height and the wall plate has an incline or curvature at the top face to provide a continuously sloping surface that prevents formation of a ligature point above the top face.

A front portion of the dispenser locks to the rear portion, covers the roll and completes the shape of the paper towel dispenser exterior. The mounting area of the housing may extend backwards from the planar mounting area into an aperture formed through a surface of the wall so that the towel recess projects into the wall. The housing has an upward projecting exterior that is curved or inclined downward from an apex to prevent attachment of a ligature and extends above the towel recess by a distance greater than or equal to half of a maximum forward projection of the housing to provide sufficient curvature or inclination of the exterior of the top projection.
