Abstract: A mobile wireless communications device may include a housing, a wireless transceiver carried by the housing, and a display carried by the housing. The mobile wireless communications device may further include a non-visual indicator carried by the housing, and an orientation sensor carried by the housing. A controller may be carried by the housing, and coupled to the wireless transceiver and the display to perform at least one mobile wireless communications function. The controller may also be switchable to a stabilization mode to activate the non-visual indicator based upon the orientation sensor sensing relative angular movement beyond a threshold.

Abstract: A peripheral for an electronic device having a speaker is provided. The peripheral includes an input device for placement proximal to the speaker for receiving audio information from the speaker. The peripheral includes an output device connected to the input device that is positioned distal from the input device and away from electromagnetic signals generated by the device. The output device presents the audio information to a hearing aid proximal to the output device. The output device is positioned at a distance such that the electromagnetic signals experienced by the input device is less than the signals experienced by the hearing aid. As a result, deleterious effects of signals otherwise experienced by the hearing aid are reduced.

Abstract: A programmable memory cycle is entered on a keyboard and set by a remote system control processor. Each local processor controls access to memory boards in accordance with the set memory cycle. When the memory cycle is divided into four memory access slots, the processor can provide, in each memory cycle, three read slots and one write slot, two read slots and two write slots, or one read slot and three write slots. When used for processing video signals, the arrangement can process three video channels, or more if expanded by the provision of further memory boards and local processors.

Abstract: In apparatus for spatially interpolating between lines of a digital video signal, to produce interpolated lines, a supersampler horizontally interpolates between samples of the signal to produce a supersampled signal consisting of the original samples and interpolated samples located between them. Block matching circuits each determine, for each sample of the supersampled signal, the extent of matching between two blocks of N.times.M samples (N=number of lines and M=number of samples), the blocks being vertically offset in opposite directions with respect to a line to be interpolated, and being horizontally offset in opposite directions with respect to a predetermined sample position. Each block matching circuit produces a matching value for a respective different horizontal offset.

Abstract: A motion compensated interpolator for digital television images comprises a three-dimensional variable separable finite impulse response interpolation filter operating in the horizontal, vertical and temporal domains.
