  • Publication number: 20180263255
Abstract: Edible building systems and edible connectors for constructing gingerbread-style houses are disclosed. The edible connectors are configured to interconnect edible panels to construct the gingerbread-style houses. The edible connectors include a body and a cutout portion configured to receive an edge of an edible panel. The cutout portion includes slots that can be oriented at 90° or 180° with respect to each other. The cutout portion can include retaining ridges, retaining bumps, and texturing to retain and secure the edge of the edible panel.

  • Publication number: 20150337565
Abstract: A security system having a device that attach directly to and locks on or around an object to be secured, or one or more parts of the system are integrated into a full or partial enclosure that fully or partially encloses or surrounds the object to be secured, that cannot be removed from the object or enclosure without disengaging the locking mechanism through a provided method, and when the device is attached to the object or integrated into the enclosure, the system renders the object unusable for its intended use, and the system is capable of determining location, has a radio transmitter and/or transceiver capable of processing, transmitting and/or relaying information, data and images over terrestrial and/or satellite communication networks, and can include various sensors and other data and image gathering methods, and can contain an audible alarm.

  • Patent number: 8604925
Abstract: An asset locator device including (a) a wireless receiver capable of receiving an identifier signal transmitted from a short range wireless transmitter device; (b) a wireless transmitter capable of transmitting a message to a space based network; (c) a positioning system capable of determining the location of the locator device; (d) a vibration sensor; and (e) a controller. The controller instructs the asset locator to: (i) attempt to detect the identifier signal from the transmitter device if the vibration sensor senses vibration; and (ii) transmit a signal, including an asset location, to the space based network if: (1) the identifier signal is not detected; and (2) location fixes from the positioning system indicate a location change of the asset.

  • Patent number: 5413210
Abstract: An apparatus and method to control the velocity and spacing of a spaced feed of objects, includes a member rotatable about an axis and having at least one receptacle, the objects being fed into the apparatus in spaced succession so that they are captured in the receptacle and so that they acquire the circular motion of the member. The receptacle has means for releasing the objects so that they are projected with a predetermined velocity and with a predetermined frequency. The phase relationship of a rotatable feeder and the rotatable member is controlled by generating a signal representative of the phase difference of the rotatable members, filtering the signal for maintaining loop stability and controlling the drive means of the rotatable member using the signal.

  • Patent number: 4916391
Abstract: To weigh objects in quick succession, the objects are projected with a known horizontal velocity onto a ramp which has a surface which curves down through 90.degree.. The ramp can move horizontally in response to the impulse corresponding to the change in horizontal momentum of the object. A transducer senses the movement of the ramp and the output horizontal velocity of the object is sensed, enabling the change in horizontal velocity to be calculated. The mass of the object is calculated from the horizontal movement of the ramp and the change in horizontal velocity of the object. In order to obtain accurate sensing of the movement of the ramp, the transducer is a linear variable differential transformer having a primary winding energized by a cyclical carrier signal and two matched secondary windings in series; the secondary winding output signal is rectified to a corresponding DC voltage having ripple components, and a sample is taken of the signal at the zero voltage of the principal ripple component.
