Abstract: A process for manufacturing an aluminum-based alloy sheet directly from a molten aluminum-based alloy is described. In a continuous caster, such as a belt-caster, and directly from the molten aluminum-based alloy, a substantially solid and substantially thin aluminum-based alloy strip, thinner than about 10 mm, is continuously cast and simultaneously cooled with a compression force on the solidifying aluminum-based alloy in a range of about 2 to about 3000 pounds per linear inch of alloy strip width. The substantially solid aluminum-based alloy strip can then be rolled, so as to obtain the aluminum-based alloy sheet. The process can include pulse heating the aluminum-based allowed sheet.

Abstract: A system is described herein. The system includes an agent and a transmitter. The agent is to a capture room specific data signals from peripheral devices within a conference room, operating system data signals, and application data signals, wherein the application data signals are obtained from a conferencing service application and wherein the agent is to package the room specific data signals, the operating system data signals, and the application data signals with system metadata into room health data. The transmitter is to transmit the room health data to a management cloud via a communications broker.

Abstract: An example apparatus disclosed herein includes means for collecting demographic data of a user, including a phone number for a mobile device, via a website associated with an information gathering entity, the demographic data collected via the website from a personal computer, separate from the mobile device, used to access the website. The disclosed example apparatus also includes means for sending a message to the mobile device, the sent message, when responded to, resulting in downloading of a metering software module to the mobile device. The disclosed example apparatus further includes means for receiving, from the mobile device and at a system associated with the information gathering entity, information indicative of events associated with use of the mobile device, and means for associating the received information with the demographic data.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for detecting space-shifted media content associated with a digital recording/playback device are disclosed. An example apparatus includes means for detecting that first data associated with media is being written to a first storage of a first media device on a home network at a monitored location, the means for detecting to receive information on the first data from a first metering device and, in response to detecting the first data being written, request, from a second metering device, second data being read from a second storage of a second media device on the home network. The example apparatus also include means for determining that the media has been space-shifted to the first media device from the second media device when the first data that is being written to the first storage matches the second data being read from the second storage.

Abstract: Hydrocarbon wells including gas lift valves and methods of providing gas lift in a hydrocarbon well. The hydrocarbon wells include a wellbore extending within a subsurface region and a downhole tubular extending within the wellbore. The downhole tubular defines a tubular conduit, and the wellbore and the downhole tubular define an annular space therebetween. The hydrocarbon wells also include a lift gas supply system configured to provide a lift gas stream to the annular space and a closure material supply system configured to provide a closure material stream to the annular space. The hydrocarbon wells further includes a gas lift valve operatively attached to the downhole tubular. The gas lift valve includes a lift gas injection conduit and an actuation mechanism. The actuation mechanism selectively transitions to a closed state responsive to contact with the closure material. The methods include methods of operating the hydrocarbon wells.

In particular, the methods and systems utilize a downhole telemetry system, such as a network of sensors and downhole wireless communication nodes, to monitor various stimulation operations.

Abstract: A method and system are described for monitoring post-stimulation operations using a plurality of communication nodes disposed along tubular members in a wellbore. The method includes constructing a communication network and installing the communication nodes along the tubular members. The communication nodes are used to monitor for the presence and/or quantity of solids and/or fluids associated with post-stimulation operations in the tubular members by analyzing how the contents of the tubular members acoustically affect the signals transmitted between the communication nodes. Hydrocarbon operations may be modified based on the analysis.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for monitoring video games are disclosed. Example video game monitors disclosed herein include a network analyzer to communicatively couple with a communication interface of a video game console, the network analyzer to detect communication packets transferred over the communication interface of the video game console. Disclosed example video game monitors also include a processor to decode the communication packets detected by the network analyzer to determine an identity of a game being played by the video game console, and report the identity of the game to a data collection facility.

The method further includes identifying a problem with at least one of the plurality of managed devices, the problem being identifiable based on analysis of the health data for the shared space. The method also includes coordinating operational maintenance for the at least one of the plurality of managed devices to alleviate the problem. Coordinating operational maintenance may include performing at least two of a software update, a configuration change, and uninstalling software.

Example apparatus disclosed herein include a signature matcher to compare signatures in monitored data with reference signatures to determine signature match strengths associated with portions of the monitored data, the reference signatures associated with reference media assets. Abstract: Embodiments of the invention are directed to Ubx-fusion molecules that maintain their mechanical strength and properties even after being fused with Ubx. Ubx fusions with VEGF and other growth factors, cell signaling proteins, and cell binding proteins can be used to induce angiogenesis. Ubx fibers and mesh, embedded within a tissue engineering scaffold, induce formation of vasculature within the scaffold. The presence of vasculature is necessary to provide oxygen and nutrients to other cells growing within the scaffold.
