Patent number: 10704353Abstract: The present invention provides a modular electrical feedthrough system for use in offshore and top-side electrical submersible pump (“ESP”) installations. A modular electrical connection system includes a stab receptacle assembly for mating with a stab plug assembly and a compliance mount. The stab plug assembly includes stab plugs and guide funnels adapted to guide the stab receptacles into a mating position with the stab plugs. The compliance mount compensates for physical misalignment between stab receptacles and stab plugs. A tubing hanger assembly forms a pressure barrier at a production bore by use of a tubing hanger penetrator assembly including a set of seals to isolate the electrical penetrator from the production bore. A secondary penetrator assembly provides a redundant pressure barrier for increased safety and system reliability.Type: GrantFiled: December 22, 2015Date of Patent: July 7, 2020Assignee: Teledyne Instruments, Inc.Inventors: David A Painter, Brandon M Watson, Alexander D Socha

Patent number: 10318697Abstract: A design layout for a semiconductor chip includes information on shapes desired to be fabricated. Clusters of photolithographic exposure “shots” are generated and subject to a measure of shot density to approximate a mask shape that generates the desired fabricated shapes when exposed during wafer fabrication. A simulation is run on the clusters of shots to estimate the resulting fabrication shapes that the clusters of shots create. The clusters of shots are modified to align the estimated fabrication shapes more closely with desired fabrication shapes. The process of simulating and modifying the shots is iterative, repeating until the estimated fabrication shapes are within a desired error difference of the planned fabrication shape.Type: GrantFiled: October 10, 2016Date of Patent: June 11, 2019Assignee: SYNOPSYS, INC.Inventors: Michael Lawrence Rieger, Thomas Christopher Cecil, Benjamin David Painter

Patent number: 9546896Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method and apparatus for measuring ash deposit levels in a particulate filter comprising at least one cell. One or more indicator components is inserted into the at least one cell so as to lie upon any deposits contained therein. Radiation is emitted from a radiation source into the cell, and the position of the one or more indicator components is detected on the basis of the emitted radiation. The deposit level within the cell is then calculated on the basis of the position of the one or more indicator components.Type: GrantFiled: February 16, 2015Date of Patent: January 17, 2017Assignee: Caterpillar Inc.Inventors: Michael C. Patent number: 8070857Abstract: A particulate removal tool and method are provided to remove the particulates such as ash and soot from a particulate filter. The particulate filter can be placed on a filter holder in a housing of the tool where a quick burst of air can be provided to clean the particulate filter. The air then can travel to a container which includes additional filter to filter the air. A vacuum can be used to remove additional particulates from the container.Type: GrantFiled: February 1, 2008Date of Patent: December 6, 2011Assignee: SPX CorporationInventors: Jim Jirele, Stan Norland, William Clayton Brown, Jamie Erin Stringfield, David Painter, Mark Gasper, Eric Vinyard, James Sarnes, Jade Katinas, Jason Scott Cooper, Cheryl Lynn Sellers, James Josh Driscoll
