  • Patent number: 11721550
Abstract: A method for depositing III-V alloys on substrates and compositions therefrom. A first layer comprises a Group III element. A second layer comprises a silica. A substrate has a surface. The second layer is deposited onto a first layer. The depositing is performed by a sol-gel method. The second layer is exposed to a precursor that comprises a Group V element. At least one of the precursor or the Group V element diffuse through the silica. The first layer is transformed into a solid layer comprising a III-V alloy, wherein at least a portion of the first layer to a liquid. The silica retains the liquified first layer, enabling at least one of the precursor or the Group V element to diffuse into the liquid, resulting in the forming of the III-V alloy.

  • Patent number: 11507430
Abstract: Examples described herein can be used to determine and suggest a computing resource allocation for a workload request made from an edge gateway. The computing resource allocation can be suggested using computing resources provided by an edge server cluster. Telemetry data and performance indicators of the workload request can be tracked and used to determine the computing resource allocation. Artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) techniques can be used in connection with a neural network to accelerate determinations of suggested computing resource allocations based on hundreds to thousands (or more) of telemetry data in order to suggest a computing resource allocation. Suggestions made can be accepted or rejected by a resource allocation manager for the edge gateway and the edge server cluster.

  • Patent number: 11185062
Abstract: The present invention relates to an assembly for trolling with multiple fishing lines, and in particular to an assembly allowing the multiple fishing poles to rotate simultaneously. The assembly has a rail having a channel and that can be affixed to the side of a boat. One or more units can be secured to the rail. Each unit has a base that can be secured to the channel, a swivel, a platform and a rod holder. An actuator can be pivotally secured to the rail and to an actuator arm secured to the back end of the platform of the adjacent unit. Extension and retraction of the actuator makes the platform and rod holder swivel relative to the base. Tie rods are used between adjacent units so that each unit swivels in unison with each other. Two parallel tie rods are used when three units are present.

  • Patent number: 10915314
Abstract: Various methods and systems for autonomously upgrading deployed resources in a distributed computing environment are provided. An autonomous upgrade system identifies updates such as operating system image updates and virtual machine extension updates for deployment in the distributed computing environment. The autonomous upgrade system identifies eligible tenants, identifies deployed resources that may be impacted by the identified update, batches the resources and upgrades the batched resources. The autonomous upgrade system performs a diagnostic test on upgraded resources to determine whether an upgrade was successful. In some embodiments, the diagnostic test is performed by executing a diagnostic script that can be provided by a tenant. The autonomous upgrade system can stop or pause the upgrade if various success metrics are not satisfied. In some embodiments, the autonomous upgrade system tests and certifies newly published updates for deployment to the distributed computing environment.
