  • Patent number: 8186364
Abstract: A hair clip that opens and closes using an elastic band. The band holds the jaws in an open position (which eliminates the need for the levers) and the band also urges the jaws together to close the clip (eliminating the need for a metal spring). The clip has a length of material that is attached either across its top or around it. Because the jaws have no attached protruding levers for opening and closing them (like the ones in a traditional ‘butterfly’ clip), the length of material lays relatively smooth across the top of the clip, which not only hides the hinge and elastic band (improving the aesthetic appearance of the clip), it makes it possible to decorated the material or add a companies logo thereto.

  • Patent number: 8025066
Abstract: A method and tool for quickly drying and styling hair into a waved formation comprising an absorbent fabric covered hair clip that is secured about a plurality of scrunched sections of wet or damp hair. The absorbent material dries the hair more quickly by absorbing some of the moisture from the hair, the jaws help squeeze the moisture from the hair into the absorbent material covering, the softness of the absorbent material covering keeps the more rigid jaws from crimping the hair while drying, resulting in smooth continuous waves or curl.

  • Patent number: 7258123
Abstract: A multiple clip hair fastener that comprises three or more claw clips attached together by spacer bands. The spacer bands are substantially rigid and are attached to each clip in such a manner as to restrict the movement of each clip from moving out of alignment in at least one direction. The clips can move in an up and down direction and not a side by side direction; this allows each clip to be attached one at a time to the hair, while the other clips are kept up and out of the way, while continuing to stay in alignment.

  • Patent number: 7213602
Abstract: A multiple band fastener and method for securing sections of hair of a human being in sections and for aligning hair bands. The apparatus is a semicircle headband that has a plurality of hair bands integrally attached and aligned longitudinally along its top. In use, the headband is attached to the hair and hair sections are neatly aligned and secured to the multiple band fastener by placing each corresponding hair section into the corresponding hair band. Each band always remains aligned with each other and the multiple band hair fastener is easily removable and reusable.

  • Patent number: 7013900
Abstract: A hair-band comb fastener and method for securing sections of hair of a human being. The apparatus comprises a retaining comb with an attaching member toward an end of the comb base and a resilient band attached toward the other end of the comb base. The resilient band has an attaching means for mating with the attaching member on the comb base. Whereby, the comb can be placed in the user's hair, a hair section can be placed in front of the comb, the band can be stretched across the hair section, and the attaching member on the band can be secured to the attaching member on the comb base.
