  • Patent number: 11475478
Abstract: A networked computerized advertising system used for integrating, processing and displaying location-based advertising information is provided. The system comprises at least one computing device, and a network that connects the computing device with multiple playback endpoints. The computing device includes a data storage subsystem component that stores information about the multiple end points, a data entry subsystem component that allows input of the information about the multiple end points, and a data analytics component programmed to process the information about the multiple end points and compute optimal advertising playback plans for each endpoint. Playbacks at endpoints are continuously monitored, and the playback plans are repeatedly reconstructed to provide flexible advertising campaigns to be customized in accordance with the schedule and the operations of the host business.

  • Publication number: 20040249965
Abstract: The invention is directed to an edge server and caching system. The edge server may have a cache, cache listing, profile data, multimedia server, and internet information server. A viewer may request a file with a specific version. The edge server may determine if the file is stored locally. If the file is not stored locally, the edge server may simultaneously cache and stream the media. If the file is available, the media may be streamed from the cache. The cache may be managed with a cache listing. The cache listing may be ordered by time of last use and may have profile data. Storage capacity may be managed by deleting the last file in the list. The profile data may be used to manage and distribute streaming media.

  • Publication number: 20040225728
Abstract: The invention is directed to a network for distributing streaming media presentations. The streaming media presentations may take various forms including Windows Media™, among others. The network comprises an intranet having a management server and one or more edge servers. Content creators upload streaming media files and presentations to the management server. The management server then distributes the streaming media files to the edge servers from which the files may be broadcast to multiple viewers. The creation tool may also use a Web-based interface to configure the management server and manage edge servers. A viewer may request the media from the management server and be redirected to an edge server for retrieval of the streaming media. The edge server, if it has not cached the streaming media, may acquire the streaming media from the management server and simultaneously distribute the stream and cache the file.

  • Publication number: 20040225743
Abstract: The invention is directed to a creation tool and methods for manipulating streaming media presentations. A streaming media file may be created, broadcast, and/or archived. The media file may include various streaming media formats and slide transitions. Once captured or archived, the streaming media may be edited by interpreting the media and the location of the transition icons. The location of these transition icons may be further edited with a drag and drop interface and the file re-encoded. The creation tool and/or method may be used with various streaming media file formats including Windows Media™, Real Networks™, Quicktime™, and MPEG-4, among others. The creation tool may also permit the editing of streaming media files through cropping and trim features, among others.
