  • Patent number: 6772782
Abstract: A modular well for a wastewater lift station includes multiple well sections. Each of the well sections has at least one mating feature allowing it to be joined to at least one other well section and to form a liquid tight seal. The well is formed by vertically mating the well sections together. One of the well sections has an inlet opening, and the same or a different well section has at least one outlet opening.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 3, 2003
Date of Patent: August 10, 2004
    Assignee: Romtec Utilities, Inc.

  • Patent number: 5983415
Abstract: A toilet riser, for use in restroom buildings, has a generally tubular shape and a hollow, double-walled construction. Liquid-tight walls define an empty chamber. The riser is formed from cross-linked polyethylene in a multi-part mold having smooth cavity surfaces so that all external surfaces of the riser are smooth and easy to clean.

  • Patent number: 4738663
Abstract: The syringe shield of the present invention is comprised of a sleeve guide having a pair of fasteners with cavities formed in them that fit over the flange which are located on hypodermic syringes for grasping by the user's fingers. The fastener pieces snap together to lock the syringe guide on the syringe flange and index it so that it does not cover the volumetric indicia which is located on the syringe. The sleeve guide has elongate fingers which extend along the sides of the syringe and act as a track which a transparent tubular sleeve travels on. The sleeve has slots which overlie the sleeve guide fingers, and moves between an extended position, where it covers the needle attached to the syringe, and a retracted position, where it does not cover the needle. Detents associated with the syringe guide fingers lock the sleeve in its retracted and extended positions, although the detent which locks the sleeve in its retracted position can easily be overcome merely by pushing the sleeve towards the needle.

  • Patent number: 4231482
Abstract: A storage vault is disclosed herein having an integral container including opposite sides, opposite ends and an inter-connecting top and bottom. A central column is integrally joined at its opposite ends to the top and bottom respectively and an encircling rib integrally forms with the opposite sides and opposite ends midway between the top and bottom. Each rib portion associated with a side and an end is reinforced by a metal channel having a plurality of fasteners securing the channel thereto. Access openings and ports are provided the top and sides and integral depressions and indentations are provided in the container for structural strength.

  • Patent number: 4187561
Abstract: A toilet riser is disclosed herein and composed of a high strength to weight ratio material which includes a substantially oval shaped body having an annular sidewall base portion and an upwardly sidewall tapered portion. The upper and lower sidewall portions are joined by an integral stiffener which encircles the entire body of the riser. The opposite sides of the lower or base sidewall portion of the body includes vertical stiffening segments and the upper sidewall portion terminates in an opening defined by a substantially circular lip. A toilet seat and lid are hingeably carried on a support section integrally formed with the lip and the upper body sidewall portion. A splash panel or plate is integrally formed in the body immediately below the toilet seat and lid mounting portion.
