  • Publication number: 20240153725
Abstract: A system and method for point on wave closing of a switching device, where the close initiation point is selected so that a minor current loop is generated that minimizes the accumulated current during the closing operation. The method includes determining bounce characteristic of contacts in the switching device during the closing operation, identifying available close initiation points on a voltage wave for a voltage across the contacts, selecting one or two of the close initiation points on the voltage wave that minimizes the accumulation of current during the closing operation, and closing the switching device using the selected close initiation point.

  • Publication number: 20240118318
Abstract: A system and method for determining an open or closed position of a magnetically actuated vacuum interrupter. The method includes applying a voltage signal of a known voltage to the actuator over a predetermined period and determining a change in current over time during the period when the voltage signal is applied to the actuator using an output of a Rogowski coil. The method also includes calculating the inductance using the voltage and the change in current over time at a predetermined time during the period and using the calculated inductance to determine whether the actuator and thus the vacuum interrupter are in the open or closed position.

  • Patent number: 11174631
Abstract: An anchor track for use with a holdown anchor and an anchor assembly. The anchor track has an upwardly opening channel, a first end, and a second end. The anchor assembly is slidable within the upwardly opening channel between the first and second ends to a desired position when the anchor track is at least partially embedded in concrete. The anchor assembly extends upwardly from inside the upwardly opening channel to the holdown anchor and is couplable to the holdown anchor when the anchor assembly is positioned adjacent to the holdown anchor.

  • Patent number: 9222207
Abstract: A cross-tufting machine and process for manufacturing carpet. The cross-tufting machine includes a sewing head and a tufting gun. The sewing head is movably mounted on support railing and a support platform is provided to support carpet that is to be provided with a tufted secondary pattern. The carpet moves in steps on top of the support platform in a machine direction and the sewing head traverses back and forth in a cross-wise direction wherein the tufting gun forms the tufted secondary pattern in the carpet.

  • Patent number: 8174382
Abstract: A system comprises an electronic device including at least one input for receiving at least one enable signal and external data. The system also comprises a wake-up circuit including at least one input for receiving at least one informational signal, an output for sending the at least one enable signal to the electronic device, and a data interface for external configuration of the wake-up circuit. If the at least one informational signal satisfies predefined criteria, the wake-up circuit enables the electronic device by way of the at least one enable signal before the external data is received by the electronic device.
