  • Publication number: 20240125253
Abstract: A valve actuation system comprises a first arm having a first arm contact surface and operatively connected to a valve actuation motion. A second arm having a second arm contact surface is operatively connected to the at least one engine valve. A discrete lost motion device is provided that is controllable between a first, motion conveying state and a second, motion absorbing state. The discrete lost motion devices comprises a plunger contact surface and a housing contact surface. The housing contact surface is configured to engage one of the first or second arm contact surfaces, and the plunger contact surface is configured to engage another of the first and the second arm contact surfaces. The first and second arm contact surfaces, the housing contact surface and the first plunger contact surface are configured to support the discrete lost motion device between the first arm and the second arm.

  • Publication number: 20210027826
Abstract: A memory controller receives data and phase-providing signals from a memory device. The phase-providing signal is not a clock signal, but is used by the memory controller to phase align a local data-sampling signal with the incoming data. The memory controller samples the data signal with the data-sampling signal. The memory controller can perform maintenance operations to update the phase relationship between the phase-providing and data-sampling signals.

  • Patent number: 10091159
Abstract: The possible network ports of a computing device are determined, regardless of whether they are currently usable. A network address is assigned to each possible network port. The network ports can include physical network ports and virtual network ports. Physical network ports can include physical network ports that are physically present, currently activated, and currently usable within the computing device; physical network ports that are physically present, not currently activated, and not currently usable within the computing device; and physical network ports that are not physically present and not currently usable within the computing device. Virtual network ports can include virtual network ports that have been instantiated and that are currently usable; and virtual network ports that have not been instantiated and that are not currently usable.

  • Patent number: 9904610
Abstract: Configuration of servers for backup are disclosed herein. According to an aspect, a method includes storing first configuration information used to configure a first server. The method also includes storing second configuration information associated with the first server. The second configuration information may be designated as available for use by a second server when backup is needed for the first server. The method also includes determining whether backup is needed for the first server. Further, the method includes providing the first and second configuration information for use in configuring the second server to back up the first server in response to determining that backup is needed for the first server.

  • Patent number: 9306912
Abstract: Methods and systems for managing tunneled endpoints are provided. One method includes preventing a user from accessing an endpoint that was previously accessed by the user via a first URL including an address with a first port designation, creating a constructive bookmark to the previously accessed endpoint, and establishing a tunnel to the previously accessed endpoint based on the constructive bookmark. Another method includes preventing a user from bookmarking a URL to an endpoint. A system includes a processor coupled to a memory a module for managing tunneled endpoints that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to perform one or more of the above methods.
