Patent number: 11969193Abstract: An intra-osseous support structure can be used to fixate opposed portions of bone. In some examples, the intra-osseous support structure is positioned in openings formed in adjacent portions of bones. Fasteners are inserted through the bone portions to secure the intra-osseous support structure in the bones. Depending on the application, one or more external bone plates may also be applied to the bone portions. The external bone plate may be in compression while the intra-osseous support structure is in tension under load in situ.Type: GrantFiled: August 29, 2022Date of Patent: April 30, 2024Assignee: Treace Medical Concepts, Inc.Inventors: David L. Publication number: 20230365976Abstract: Nodulisporic acids (NAs) comprise a group of indole diterpenes known for their potent insecticidal activities; however, biosynthesis of NAs by its natural producer, Hypoxylon pulicicidum (Nodulisporium sp.) is exceptionally difficult to achieve. The identification of genes responsible for NA production could enable biosynthetic pathway optimization to provide access to NAs for commercial applications. Obtaining useful quantities of NAs using published fermentations methods is challenging, making gene knockout studies an undesirable method to confirm gene function. Alternatively, heterologous gene expression of H. pulicicidum genes in a more robust host species like Penicillium paxilli provides a way to rapidly identify the function of genes that play a role in NA biosynthesis. In this work, we identified the function of four secondary-metabolic genes necessary for the biosynthesis of nodulisporic acid F (NAF) and reconstituted these genes in the genome of P.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 1, 2022Publication date: November 16, 2023Inventors: Matthew Joseph Nicholson, Sarah Adeline Kessans, Emily Jane Parker, Leyla Yolanda Bustamante Rodriguez, David Barry Scott, Kyle Cornelius Van de Bittner, Craig John Van Dolleweerd

Publication number: 20230090050Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for generating a search index for a hierarchical data set so that a search query of the hierarchical data may return results without searching or analyzing the hierarchical data set itself. The techniques generate a flattened index that includes selected indexed attributes and additional attributes to be displayed with the indexed attributes. The techniques also generate a hierarchy representation of the hierarchical data. Using these generated data structures, query results may be returned without directly traversing the hierarchical data itself while also providing data and hierarchical context for the query results by overlaying the query results with nodes of the hierarchical representation or otherwise concurrently displaying the query results with nodes of the hierarchical representation.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 22, 2021Publication date: March 23, 2023Applicant: Oracle International CorporationInventors: George John Kellner, Jung Min Ha, Mark Pearson, Jingyi Han, Jennifer Darmour, Abhay Kumar, David Barry Groves, Hong Tuck Liew, Abburi Rahul Krishna Naga Karthik, Johnson Kunnel Joesph, Ann Deena Philip, Subramanya Sarma Kuchi Venkata Raghavendra, Jitin Sai Pichika, Srinivas Sureshkumar Guthivari
