  • Patent number: 9004101
Abstract: Disclosed is a device for causing turbulent flow in a tank assembly that includes, inter alia, a base portion and a vane element that extends in an axial direction from the base portion. The vane element has a curved surface formed at a distal end thereof which is adapted and configured to redirect fluid traversing the device axially in a non-axial direction. Still further, a plurality of shoulder elements extend radially outward from the axis of the vane element and are adapted and configured for limiting that axial insertion of the device into a fitting associated with the tank assembly. In an embodiment of the present invention, the vane element includes lateral edges which are adapted and configured for press-fit engagement with an inside diameter of the fitting associate with the tank assembly.

  • Patent number: 7100683
Abstract: An in-well aeration device which includes a water pumping section disposed within the well for drawing water from the well, an aerating section operatively connected to the water pumping section for drawing air into the well and subsequently injecting the air into the well water above the level of the water pumping section, and a motor operatively connected to the water pumping section and the aerating section for operating both sections simultaneously.

  • Patent number: 7048861
Abstract: A method of aerating a well having a well pump positioned therein is disclosed which includes the steps of positioning an air diffuser within the well above the level of the well pump, determining the recovery period for the well, and supplying air to the diffuser to aerate the well water, for the well recovery period, upon activation of the well pump to remove or otherwise release contaminants from the well water.

  • Patent number: 4199312
Abstract: Apparatus for initially bending pairs of spaced parallel concrete curbing immediately after it has been cast and while still in a zero slump state. The apparatus includes a blade-like tool adapted to extend into the V-shaped space which normally exists between opposed pairs of concrete curbing when the latter emerge from curb molding apparatus, said tool including opposed sidewalls which may be flexibly bent or distorted away from each other at pre-selected portions along the longitudinal extent of such tool so as to simultaneously and oppositely bend said curbing pair. Means for distorting the flexible sidewalls of the tool are provided in the form of rollers adapted to contact interior portions of the sidewalls and be forced downwardly with respect thereto, thereby increasing the distance between the sidewalls at such preselected locations.

  • Patent number: 3941545
Abstract: Apparatus has heretofore been provided for the automatic pre-casting of concrete curbing. The pre-cast curbing, in a zero slump state, emerges in spaced parallel pairs from this apparatus. The present invention provides for an initial bending of both curbs in opposite directions by the insertion of a tool between them. Then, a final bending is performed to the desired curvature. The apparatus comprises an elongated prebending member having an inverted triangular section and convex sides from end to end. The maximum curvature is at the top, and it gradually tapers away toward the bottom so that the amount of curvature to the curbs is controlled by the depth of penetration of the member between the curbs. A second, generally inverted U-shaped member is formed with the required bend. This member is forced over one of the curbs to complete the bend. It is then lifted, turned 180.degree., and forced over the companion curb to complete its bend.
