Publication number: 20220323054Abstract: A method of treating a patient's joint having opposing joint surfaces includes providing an elongate member having a proximal end, a distal end and an expandable member near the distal end. The expandable member is positioned in the joint between the joint surfaces and expanded so as to separate the joint surfaces away from one another into a distracted position. The joint is manipulated while in the distracted position so that the joint is distracted and in flexion. A diagnostic or therapeutic procedure is then performed on the joint while maintaining the joint in the flexed and distracted position.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 15, 2022Publication date: October 13, 2022Inventors: David Boudreault, Vivek Shenoy, Hanson S. Gifford, Mark Deem, Michael Hendricksen, Doug Sutton

Publication number: 20170128072Abstract: A sutureless anastomosis device is provided herein comprising an outer tube defining an outer lumen and an inner tube formed of a compliant material defining an inner lumen. The inner tube is disposed within the outer lumen. In various embodiments, the anastomosis device is implanted such that proximal ends of the outer and inner tubes are secured around an outer surface of a proximal blood vessel, the distal end of the outer tube is secured to an outer surface of a distal blood vessel, and the distal end of the inner tube is secured to an inner surface of the distal blood vessel. Such a configuration connects the proximal blood vessel and distal blood vessel together in a manner that limits or eliminates turbulent flow through the anastomosis device. Methods of implantation are also disclosed.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 12, 2015Publication date: May 11, 2017Inventors: Aijun Wang, David Boudreault, Nicole Sitkin, Christopher Pivetti

Publication number: 20090143650Abstract: A system for fetal position-independent, non-invasive fetal monitoring includes a plurality of disposable adhesive patches for placement on an expectant mother's upper and lower abdomen. Each of the patches includes one or more miniature electronic devices embedded within the adhesive patches to detect: (i) heart sounds of a fetus within the mother, (ii) heart sounds of the mother, and (iii) signals indicative of uterine contractions of the mother. A processing hub having a receiver to receive signals from the plurality of patches, wherein the processing hub receives and processes primary signal from the primary patch and the secondary signals from the secondary patches to triangulate the location of the fetus, cancel noise in the primary signal and increase the amplitude of the primary signal for more reliable reporting.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 20, 2008Publication date: June 4, 2009Inventors: Marie A. Guion-Johnson, David Boudreault, Beverly Tang, Shivinand Lad, Brian Fahey, Jeremy Collins, Elizabeth Langen
