  • Publication number: 20210227906
Abstract: A safety garment material is designed to be used in high temperature environments where aluminized personal protection equipment is required gear to protect workers from high radiant heat as well as accidental molten metal splashing or spills. The material includes a plurality of layers of nonwoven fire-resistant oxidized polyacrylonitrile (OPAN) arranged in a wicking configuration to wick moisture away from the wearer's body and layer of perforated aluminized film to allow escape of moisture from the wearer's body.

  • Publication number: 20180134002
Abstract: A composite flame barrier includes at least one layer of nonwoven flame resistant fibers, and at least one layer of heat absorbing intumescing expandable graphite held together with polymeric binders and fire resistant fibers in a sheet structure. The composite material provides thermal protection that cannot be achieved using the expandable graphite is alone. By mechanically attaching a nonwoven felt or hydro-entangled nonwoven material to the layer containing expandable graphite, the graphite becomes stabilized and is more resistant to forces that may damage the material (wind, high velocity flames etc.) and decrease or eliminate the thermal performance of the expandable graphite. The composite flame barrier is useful in applications where prolonged fire and heat resistance is required, and has an advantage of being flexible and lightweight.

  • Patent number: 8964951
Abstract: The present invention is related to telecommunications, and in particular to systems and methods of using telecommunication services for user authentication. Account information is stored for a user, the account information including at least a first phone number associated with the user. A user order is received. A verification phone call is received from the user, the call including charge phone number information. The charge number information is compared to the first phone number to authenticate that the user is associated with the first phone number. Based at least in part on the comparison, the user order is selectively caused to be fulfilled.

  • Patent number: 8472604
Abstract: The present invention provides flexible, user-definable call screening processes. The user can optionally define to which telecommunication terminals a screened call is to be broadcast to and under what conditions. An incoming call is forwarded to a call management system that asks the caller to leave a voice message. The call management system selectively couples the call to a POTS line or a VoIP-capable device so that the user can listen to the incoming message and thereby screen the incoming call. Based on the screening, the user can instruct the call management system to connect the caller to the user.
