  • Patent number: 7812995
Abstract: A method, system, and computer program for configuring a device provides the capability for a user to easily enter complex configuration settings by scanning sheets or documents having information defining the configuration settings into the device. A method for configuring a device comprises imaging a document, extracting configuration data from the imaged document, and setting configuration parameters of the device using the extracted configuration data.

  • Publication number: 20090106984
Abstract: A hand-held scissors for measuring and cutting fabric or other material includes: (a) a pair of cooperating, cross-connected levers movably joined at a fulcrum, each lever including a handle member on one side of the fulcrum, and a blade member on an opposite side of the fulcrum, each blade member including one elongated cutting edge, the cutting edges facing one another, a first one of the substantially ring-shaped handle members including a first handle hole, and a second one of the handle members including a second handle hole, each blade member including a substantially planar upper surface and a substantially planar opposite, lower surface, and (b) a set of measurement indicia permanently marked on the upper surface of a blade member, and the lower surface of a blade member.

  • Patent number: 6554258
Abstract: A carburetor float bowl. The float bowl includes a float adapted to be flotationally supported by liquid fuel in the float bowl over a predetermined range of the level of fuel therein. A fuel inlet is adapted to direct fuel along a line toward the floor of the float bowl. The float bowl further includes a “fuel chute” having a ramping surface, a portion of which is intersected by said line at a point thereon. The ramping surface is disposed to provide a ramp angle at the point with respect to the floor that is substantially greater than 90 degrees and substantially less than 180 degrees.

  • Patent number: 6520488
Abstract: A high performance power valve for a carburetor. The valve is operated by engine manifold vacuum. A housing is provided having an annular flange portion through which extend rectangular outlet apertures for conducting fuel received from a tubular aperture in the housing to a power valve channel restriction. Preferably, four such outlet apertures are disposed at radially symmetrically spaced intervals about the annular flange portion. Preferably, an interior surface of the tubular aperture is radiused substantially where this surface meets the outlet apertures. Preferably, a plunger disposed in the tubular aperture and a seat which the plunger contacts to shut off fuel flow through the valve when the valve is closed are both radiused. The annular flange portion preferably includes one or more “vanes” extending into the tubular aperture.

  • Patent number: 6305461
Abstract: A booster equipped carburetor in which the venturi bores in the carburetor have an enhanced drop leg booster therein. The drop leg booster has a venturi orifice and a “bent” channel member. The channel member communicates fuel to the venturi orifice and positions the venturi orifice below a second end of the channel member within a venturi bore of the carburetor. The channel member preferably has smooth sides to assure consistent flow without undue turbulence.
