  • Publication number: 20180020973
Abstract: A system and method are described for profiling a distribution of forces transferred from the body weight and the residual limb of a wearer of a prosthetic socket through the socket. The system may include a prosthetic socket, a sensor network comprising multiple sensors coupled with the prosthetic socket in a pattern defining multiple internal regions within the prosthetic socket, and a processor coupled with the sensor network and configured to receive sensed data from the sensor network, divide the sensed data into groups corresponding to the multiple internal regions within the prosthetic socket, and process the sensed data to provide force distribution profile data corresponding to the force distribution profile.

  • Patent number: 8768808
Abstract: The invention comprises a method for distributing dead bank cards to customers who have not solicited a bank card or submitted an application. The dead bank card is a bank card (e.g., ATM card, debit card, check card, and the like) which contains all necessary information to be used, including a pre-assigned bank account number, and which only requires activation/approval by the prospective new bank account customer. In one embodiment, the dead bank card is distributed in connection with live credit cards issued to applicants for credit card accounts. Once operative, the bank card and the credit card may be linked together through a rebate/rewards program.

  • Patent number: 8761857
Abstract: An analyte sensor for use in connection with a biofluid is described. The analyte sensor may comprise any suitable interface between the biofluid and a derivative of the biofluid and any suitable transducer of information concerning an analyte. At least one catalytic agent is provided in a locale or vicinity of the interface. The catalytic agent, such as a proteinaceous agent or a non-proteinaceous, organic-metal agent, is sufficient to catalyze the degradation of reactive oxygen and/or nitrogen species that may be present in the vicinity of the interface. An analyte-sensing kit and a method of sensing an analyte are also described.
