  • Patent number: 10514231
Abstract: A shoulder support for mounting on an end of a rifle gunstock having a main body that rests against the shoulder in use. The shoulder support has an extension member pivotally connected to the bottom end of the main body that can be selectively pivoted from an extended position to a collapsed position. When in the extended position a surface of the extension member is substantially coplanar with the main body that rests against the shoulder during use to provide enhanced support for the rifle against the shoulder. There is a means for automatically locking the extension member into the extended position, means for rapidly unlocking the extension member to position it in the collapsed position and automatically holding the extension in the collapsed position.

  • Patent number: 9010008
Abstract: An apparatus for mounting a handgrip on a forward portion of a firearm. The apparatus includes a mount having an upper portion with a clamp for removably engaging the firearm forward portion. The handgrip, e.g., a pistol handgrip, is symmetrical about a vertical plane passing through the handgrip. The distal portion of the handgrip is offset in the vertical plane from the proximal portion of the handgrip. A pivot means connects the lower portion of the mount to the proximal portion of the handgrip to permit the pivoting of the vertical plane to varying angles on either side of the central axis of the barrel. A lock means locks and unlocks the pivot means to lock the handgrip in position at a selected pivot angle. The apparatus provides the ability of a left handed or right handed shooter to adjust the handgrip to a comfortable position while using the firearm.

  • Patent number: 8104222
Abstract: An animal trap having a jaw pivotally mounted to a base that swings between cocked sprung positions. A spring means biases the jaw toward the sprung position. Cooperatively engaged drive and driven gears are mounted on the side of the base. The driven gear is releasably engaged to the jaw when the jaw is in the sprung position. A lever means is provided for the selective engagement with the drive gear. When the lever is engaged to the drive gear and rotated it causes the driven gear to rotate, pivoting the jaw to the cocked position. After the animal is trapped, the lever is engaged with the drive gear permitting the jaw to be pivotally moved to the cocked position and releasing the animal from the trap. An enclosure permits the animal to enter and step on the trigger member to spring the jaw.

Abstract: An animal trap having a jaw frame pivotally mounted to a base for pivotal movement between a cocked position and a sprung position. A spring means is provided for biasing the jaw frame towards the sprung position. A gear system is mounted proximate one side of the base that has a drive gear and a driven gear that are cooperatively engaged with each other. The driven gear is releasably engaged to the jaw frame when the jaw frame is in the sprung position. A lever means or electric motor is provided for the selective engagement with the drive gear. When the lever or electric motor is selectively engaged to the drive gear and is rotated, the drive gear is rotated causing the driven gear to rotate to thereby pivot the jaw frame to the cocked position. After the animal is trapped, the lever or drive gear is selectively engaged with the drive gear. This permits the jaw frame to be pivotally moved to the cocked position while simultaneously releasing the animal from the trap.
