The reset method is to set the resettable flag and reset buffer so tat each exchanged processing unit can re-read data in the buffer for processing. Moreover, the buffer further includes an overwriteable flag so as to prevent the data in the buffer to be overwritten and get lost.

    Abstract: Mobile devices are becoming multimedia terminals which can send and receive video as well as audio and text mesges. A sender 11 can transfer content data 13 to a receiver 12. It is described how somebody could edit and adapt a video clip and send it by attaching a pre-defined filter signal 14 which adds suitable effects to the clip (colour adaptation, overlaying of icons, fade between en scenes, etc.). Instead of using the filter to edit the video clip before transmission, the filter 14 is transmitted with the video content 13, so allowing the receiver to view the clip with or without the filter, or use a different filter.
