Abstract: The present invention provides a method, apparatus and system for efficient conveyance of documents and small payloads between multiple departments of a business facility. Although not limited to application to financial institutions, the teachings of the present invention are particularly applicable to banking facilities. The system of the present invention centralizes the operations of transaction agents in a single location. Within the central location, one or more of the transaction agents has direct access to two or more remote locations via the use of two or more conveyors. Direct access to multiple locations allows the transaction agents to operate with much higher efficiency than that available through prior systems.
