  • Patent number: 10692476
Abstract: An instrument string cleaner adapted for cleaning the strings of a stringed instrument. The string cleaner includes a clamping mechanism that is adapted to securely connect with and hold onto the strings of a stringed instrument. The clamping mechanism includes a top arched plate and a bottom arched plate held together with a pin that extends the width of the top and bottom plates. A coil spring has the pin extending there through. The string cleaner is normally biased to a closed position by the coil spring where the top and bottom arched plates are pressed against each other. The string cleaner has an open position where the top and bottom arched plates are spaced from each other. A first cleaning pad attached to the top arched plate, and second cleaning pad is attached to the bottom arched plate.

  • Publication number: 20120284947
Abstract: An apparatus may include a first support, a first cleaning material coupled to a first side of the first support, a second support rotatably coupled to the first support at a first edge of the second support, the second support defining a first opening disposed adjacent to a second edge of the second support opposite the first edge, a second cleaning material coupled to a first side of the second support, and a latch coupled to the first support, the latch to engage the first opening of the second support to maintain the first side of the first support in a substantially fixed relationship with respect to the first side of the second support.

  • Publication number: 20090308411
Abstract: An apparatus may include a first support, a first cleaning material coupled to a first side of the first support, a second support coupled to the first support at a first edge of the second support, a second cleaning material coupled to a first side of the second support, and a third cleaning material coupled to a second side of the second support. Some aspects include placement of a second support between a musical instrument and a string coupled to the musical instrument, and rotation of a first support coupled to a first edge of the second support with respect to the second support to dispose the string between the first support and the second support, to bring a first cleaning material coupled to a first side of the first support in contact with the string, to bring a second cleaning material coupled to a first side of the second support in contact with the string, and to bring a third cleaning material coupled to a second side of the second support in contact with the musical instrument.
