  • Patent number: 11087162
Abstract: In various examples, frames of a video may include a first visual object that may appear relative to a second visual object within a region of the frames. Once a relationship between the first visual object and the region is known, one or more operations may be performed on the relative region. For example, optical character recognition may be performed on the relative region where the relative region is known to contain textual information. As a result, the identification of the first visual object may serve as an anchor for determining the location of the relative region including the second visual object—thereby increasing accuracy and efficiency of the system while reducing run-time.

  • Patent number: 11032693
Abstract: Techniques for use by a mobile device configured to operate in a wireless network for the communication of data messages with a server are described. When the mobile device does not have an open session with the server, the mobile device receives from a service node via the wireless network a message which informs the mobile device that a data message has arrived at the server and needs to be retrieved. The message includes an identifier which identifies the data message at the server. In response to opening an application at the mobile device, the mobile device communicates directly with the server via the wireless network for retrieving the data message. This involves commencing an open session with the server, sending to the server a command for retrieving the data message, and receiving from the server the data message in response to sending the command. The mobile device may use the identifier for retrieving the data message from the server.

  • Patent number: 11023856
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for providing implants for surgical procedures. In some implementations, a model that has been trained using data indicating characteristics of other patients and items used in surgeries for the other patients is obtained. Using the model and patient characteristics for a patient, such as the height and weight of the patient, the items needed for a surgery for a particular patient can be identified. For example, the likelihoods that different sizes of an implant component will be needed can be identified and used to determine which sizes of components should be provided at a medical facility and in the operating room for the patient's surgery.

  • Publication number: 20210084028
Abstract: Methods and systems for creating a multi-applicant account profile are described. During a first remote session, a first applicant provides at least two pieces of contact data for second applicant. A unique link and a one-time password are transmitted to the second applicant using respective first and second pieces of contact data. A second remote session is initiated, in response to receipt of the one-time password, provided via the unique link. During the second remote session, identification information of the second applicant is provided. A new multi-applicant account profile is then created, after verifying the identification information of the first applicant and the second applicant.

  • Patent number: 10928180
Abstract: A controller for sensing deformation including a sensor structure having a deformable conductor and another conductor (which may also be deformable). The deformable conductor may be made out of a flexible non-fluid material (e.g., rubber) or a conductive fluid. The deformable conductor may be deformed by the deformation of the sensor structure or by other forces. The sensor comprises circuitry to drive and sense signals on interacting pairs of conductors (the deformable conductor or the other conductor can act as the drive side, or as the sense side). Sense signals are processed to analyze deformation of the deformable conductor, and deformation of the sensor structure. Where the sensor is deployed proximate to human skin, deformation and changes in deformation may be used to correlate or infer a body position, movement or pose.
