A long note is a separate document created by the system to capture each of the one or more short notes and related source content from the source document and compiles them in one place for independent review and modification. The long note captures the connection between the short note and the source document with source content such as the related text, images, or other source content within the source document to which the short note is directed. The long note may be created independently of a user request, such that the entry of a short note into the source document initiates the creation of the long note.

Based on the contextual privacy setting and the context surrounding the presentation of the object, a level of concealment for the sensitive information in the text is determined. The object comprising the text is then presented, wherein the sensitive information included in the text is revealed in accordance with the level of concealment.

The location of the satellite at the time of recording the satellite image interest may be obtained from metadata associated with the satellite image. A 3D model of a cityscape corresponding to the satellite image may be subjected to a transformation operation to determine portions of the 3D model that are viewable from a location corresponding to the location of the satellite when taking the picture. Visible facades buildings of the 3D model ma be identified and mapped to portions of the satellite image which may then be used in rendering 2D images from the 3D model.

    Abstract: A computer-implemented method for resizing an image using a seam carving algorithm. The method may include measuring energy levels of pixels in an original image to derive an original energy map; applying a filter to an original energy map to derive a first energy map having a scale less than the original energy map; iteratively applying the filter N times, starting with the first energy map, to an energy map from an immediately preceding iteration; upsampling each of the energy maps to a resolution that matches the original energy map; combining the upsampled energy maps with the original energy map to form a composite image; identifying a seam by finding a path in the composite image having lowest energy quantities from one end of the composite image to an opposing end of the composite image; and selectively deleting the identified seam from the original image, thereby yielding a resized image.
