  • Publication number: 20040254874
Abstract: An auto-trading strategy for executing an order to buy or sell a specified quantity of a certain item. The strategy utilizes urgency scores rather than time bins. In one embodiment, an urgency score is determined at a certain point in time. The urgency score is a function of a trading target associated with the point in time and the actual number of items that have been traded as of the certain point in time.

  • Patent number: 6322630
Abstract: An apparatus and method for applying a coating to an elongated substrate such as a wire or cable. The coating apparatus has an opposed pair of mouthpieces each connected respectively to a pair of dispensers which are in fluid communication with a source of heated liquid such as a hot melt coating material. The mouthpieces have complimentary recesses which form a throughhole when placed in a closed position such that a wire or cable passing through the throughhole may be coated with the liquid. The dispensers are operatively connected to actuators which move the modules in opposing directions to closed and open positions.

  • Patent number: 5229999
Abstract: In a data processing system, a data processing unit contains data processing logic including shadowed functional registers for storing the data being processed. The units also include fault monitoring logic, including, for each shadowed functional register, a shadowing copy register connected in parallel from the corresponding shadowed register to receive and store a copy of the data resident in the shadowed register. Test logic is connected from the shadowed and shadowing registers for comparing the data resident in the shadowed and shadowing registers and providing indications of possible faults in the data processing logic. The shadowed and shadowing registers are connected in a serial scan chain through a serial scan data path. The integrity of the fault monitoring logic is tested by serially shifting, or scanning, known test patterns of bits through the serial scan chain comprised of the shadowed registers and shadowing registers.
