  • Publication number: 20080311533
Abstract: An orthodontic instrument that provides for improved placement of direct bond brackets, particularly in the difficult posterior locations. An ergonomic, lightweight, ambidextrous parallel moving jaw assembly which utilizes a familiar hypodermic syringe style interface, enables a practitioner to efficiently and accurately place and bond brackets. Two different jaw blade widths allow engagement with and angular pre-bonded adjustment of Cuspid and Bicuspid brackets.

  • Patent number: 6865779
Abstract: An ergonomic brace attachment for a pneumatic inline power tool. The attachment is designed to reduce the forces transmitted from the power tool to the operator. The device attaches non-destructively to a wide variety of inline power tools using the threaded air inlet port of the tool. A padded lever arm allows the operator to easily receive torque forces and the semi-u shape enables axial force to be applied to the tool with the large muscles of the arm, while providing for minimal restriction and ease of use. The lever arm is made from lightweight, strong material and is height-adjustable to accommodate a wide variety of tools and operator anatomies.

  • Patent number: 5580021
Abstract: A suspension mechanism for a manually manipulated power tool which, upon actuation of the power tool momentarily relieves the tension supporting the power tool and enables the power tool's weight to be utilized to augment the axial force required to perform work such as screwdriving, drilling and grinding. A sensor mechanism which is part of the invention may also be used to obtain similar benefits from prior art suspension mechanisms.
