  • Publication number: 20240134734
Abstract: In one example of the present disclosure, a method for determining false positive and active indications is disclosed. The method may apply anomaly network event data to a machine learning model. The machine learning model is trained with historic and correlated anomaly network event data. The method then determines which one of the anomaly network event data is a false positive indication and which one is an active indication.

  • Patent number: 11922247
Abstract: A radio frequency identification (RFID) automatic vehicle identification (AVI) system configured to mitigate signal interference, the system comprising a plurality of RFID readers, comprising a first RFID reader and a second RFID reader; and a plurality of antennas, wherein a first antenna is connected to the first RFID reader and a second antenna is connected to the second RFID reader. Prior to the first RFID reader transmitting a signal through the first antenna, the first RFID reader samples a received radio frequency (RF) signal from the first antenna, and if the received RF signal meets predetermined strength and frequency criteria, the first RFID reader inhibits transmission of the signal through the first antenna.

  • Patent number: 9721627
Abstract: A method and corresponding apparatus for aligning a data signal with a corresponding clock signal include oversampling the data signal based on the corresponding clock signal and generating corresponding data samples. An indication of skew between the data signal and the corresponding clock signal is detected based on data samples. A variable delay line coupled to the data signal is then adjusted based on the indication of skew detected. According to at least one example implementation, the data signal is oversampled based on the corresponding clock signal and multiple time-shifted versions of the corresponding clock signal. At least one signal of the corresponding clock signal and the multiple time-shifted versions of the corresponding clock signal is employed in sampling the data signal at a potential transition edge of the data signal.

  • Patent number: 8020013
Abstract: An adjustable-voltage Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) switch provides data signals and output electrical powers to a multiple number of output PoE ports. The adjustable-voltage PoE switch has an output voltage-adjusting interface, allowing a user to select a specific power level or a specific output voltage for the particular output PoE port. The adjustable-voltage PoE can also include a conventional IEEE 802.3af-compliant power mode for further utilizing PoE in communicating and powering up external devices. A plurality of light indicators corresponding to the multiple number of output PoE ports provides further convenience by indicating a specific power level or a specific output voltage for a particular output PoE port using a particular color in each color-changing light indicator.

  • Publication number: 20030081377
Abstract: A modular router forms the base for one or more stackable modules. The modules may take on various communication and data transfer forms such as modems, additional routers, VoIP module, etc. Each module has at least two legs, which hold the module up from the top surface of the router. The modules are connected to the router by a connector having a first portion located on a top surface of the router and a mating second portion located on a bottom surface of the module. One or both of the connector portions extend outward such that the connector will properly mate when the legs of the module are resting in depressions in the top surface of the router. Either of two interchangeable lids may be used with the router. The first lid is shallow and is used when the router is used without any modules. The second lid is much deeper and may be used to cover the unit with two modules. The back wall of the second lid has one or more access openings to allow users easy access to ports in frequent use.

  • Publication number: 20030021080
Abstract: The invention simplifies the wiring changes needed in a modular communications device as new modules are added to a system and it reduces the initial cost of the base unit. When a module, which contains an additional communications function is added to an existing system, it often becomes necessary to move a communications cable from the existing unit to the new module that has been added. This invention avoids the need of such a cable change, and reduces the costs of having connectors on the new module, and provides scaleable costs that are incurred only as modules are required.

  • Patent number: 5956325
Abstract: A communication system has a plurality of stations which communicate data in a data frame having a plurality of slots, wherein the plurality of slots are data slots DS and/or minislots MS. A master station determines a range parameter R which is based upon a number of slave stations transmitting reservation requests in a data frame, the master station determines a minislot parameter MP according to a number of reservation requests in a queue waiting to be processed by the master station, and the master station transmits the range parameter R and the minislot parameter MP to a plurality of slave stations. Each slave station independently determines a random transmission parameter N. Each slave station transmits a reservation request to the master station if its random transmission parameter N corresponds to the minislot parameter MP and abstains from transmitting a reservation request to the master station if its random transmission parameter N does not correspond to the minislot parameter MP.
